If we start a rumor that Dr. Paul violated campaign finance law, would they appoint enough members to the FEC board that they could actually issue a ruling on something?

You might be on to something. I bet they would be appointed overnight.

I doubt Dr. Paul would like that though.

They are both in a catch 22 situation now so if either side pushes for the appointments, their candidate might get spanked.
