View Full Version : The White House should not be our main goal. There can never be King Ron Paul anyway.

King Ron Paul could fix everything overnight. We would never want that.

President Ron Paul could veto unconstitutional bills and appoint good Justices. Also, he could salvage our foreign policy and eliminate several executive agencies and cabinet positions.

However, a Ron Paul Congress can censure or impeach a bad president and pass legislation to do everything King Ron Paul could do.

The Constitution truly means that the president is all but impotent therefor, a real American Congress could re-neuter the president. We don't need to win the highest office every time. We really need to win many, many congressional seats and party positions to set agendas.

Rhys,

I agree 100% with you that it doesn't start or end with Presidency.

One thing I can trust Ron Paul to do is this: Set a precedent of shrinking back the Presidency's power, which will be useful fodder to use against future candidate who has ulterior motives. Many past presidents came with such promises but went batshit once they imbibed the poison of Presidency.

That is probably most strongest argument for insisting that Ron be president, IMO. Not that it's be-all, end-all deal as we can always adapt.

Ron Paul doesn't want to be King, rule America, or rule the world
