See the photo on the top. What's that symbolic of?

I know the King of Spades is supposed to be King David (all the face cards are named after real or legendary people). I don't know if that's why.

Any ideas?

You've got me. In the game of Spades, I know, it isn't the be-all and end-all card, but it's plenty strong--one you'd rather have than not. But I have no idea.

David and Goliath. Except this time, Goliath(John McCain) wins.

The King of Spades told you all that? My, how realistic.

ron paul doesn't want to fold his cards, and he's just played a hand with suit cards?

It's just common sense. Any reasonable person, including Ron Paul and Jesse Benton, will tell you that John McCain is the Republican nominee. Paul is just in it to pick up delegates here and there and hopefully get a speaking role at the convention.

So, j650, you've hijacked the thread. Congratulations. Can we get back on topic now?

Maybe he was playing a declared game of war.

the king of spades denotes a literary man, or one whose desires would lead him to the pulpit or the platform.

Because he has the Ace of Spades up his sleeve?

Omg.. I CAN'T believe none of you know why.

He's the KING OF SPADES; because:

He "calls a spade, a spade" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_call_a_spade_a_spade

i.e To "call a spade a spade" is to speak honestly and directly about a topic, specifically topics that others may avoid speaking about due to their sensitivity.

Ring a bell? hahaha. :D

It says that King of Spades is authoritarian, cold, logical, stubborn, possibly ruthless. Perhaps he was referencing John McCain.

That was the original King Of Spades card meaning in the 1600's. Steganography at work here. A Swiss banker has Ron pegged for the Presidency. If you get rid of all the crooks running for office, WHO is left standing?

In cartomancy, an upright King of Spades indicates a leader, a wise counselor, a life-asserting position with a focus on business and work.
