Thanks. Ya know, I absolutly amazed at the response those vids have gotten, I actually had 2 version of don't tread on me, I went with the one thats up there becuase I figured it would appeal to Different audience than stop dreaming did.

Hey avaroth, what video editing software do you use? I want to start making videos but my windows movie maker wont let me zoom in and zoom out from a picture (like panning)

is there good freeware?

I use (drum roll) windows movie maker. I have premier, but I've not used it for RP yet, WMM is so easy and quick. I've been working on a vid for 2 months on premiere it's turning out nicely, I'm trying to improve the logo at the end, But I haven't used premiere enough to use it fast. Power Director isn't bad though. It's pretty basic, with alot of options.

This was my favorite video as well due to the timing of its release-- it helped set the record straight against all the anti-Paul spin that was out there on the blowback issue. "Stop Dreaming" is timeless however...

The "stock" Moviemaker can't do this- you need to get some extra .xml plug-ins, I was never able to find a free one (other then a demo period) but there is one in a small package for $8:

They also have some other great video effects and transitions (some free packages) such as doing PIP and more:

These guys are a few more bucks but you get a lot more- they have all kinds of video effects such as color corrections, sharpen/soften filters, pan/zooms and other effects.

I bought all their effects- they also have a bunch of transitions.

This is the best place to search for info:

How do you adjust the volume up and down of the sound track when someone is speaking vs. not speaking? There has to be a better way then I'm doing it...

Hey man, you should check out Ulead VideoStudio.. The software is very much set up like WMM, except it has many more options.. You can download the 30-day trial, I think after a day or so of playing with it you'll pick it up.. I've never cared really for adobe products..

the best thing about it, is i've never had it crash on me or complain because it didn't like the source format of a file. WMM does that all the time.. :(

This is the best comparison of the different software I've seen:

Ulead VideoStudio is pretty good and comparable to WMM.
I use Ulead MediaStudio which is comparable to Adobe Premier but cheaper. Both these are much tougher to get the hang of though.
