In NH there's no income tax and no sales tax. Property tax on land is high but not as high as some states. They pay for schools via a state run lottery. www.freestateproject.org and read 101 Reasons to Move.

I'm not sure why Vermont has an F- rating for concealed carry...in that State you don't even need a permit...owning a handgun is all that's necessary.

I always thought Alaska was the most Libertarian, as they have no Sale or Income tax, along with a few other things I've heard. I know that Alaska scores dead last on a taxation scale.

sadly, I live in a State with one of the highest taxation rates in the country (Ohio).

Texas. Texas has a tradition of great state government which was born in its infancy as a Republic. When Texans think of solving problems, they don't think on the Federal level. When hurricane Rita threaten the city of Houston, a Federal official stood behind a State official who in turn stood behind the Houston city mayor who directed the necessary steps to insure the welfare of the population.
In comparison, when Katrina hit the State of Louisiana, the unprepared mayor of New Orleans blamed the governor who in turn blamed President Bush.
Although Texas isn't perfect by any means, it does serve as a model for the solution. We need to think in terms of great state governments competing with each other to acheive civil purpose. Because we can only invent our way out of our problems on the local level and tend to only lobby our way out of taking responsibility for our problems on the Federal, the idea of acheiving great state government should become the ideal.

One of their politicians ( a senator if I'm not mistaken) is a "democratic socialist"

Yeah, I'm settling in Texas in the next 4 years after mining in Idaho for a while.

I kinda wanna move to RP's district however, I need to become a Representative as well.
