Alaska is made up of cowboys in parkas. even the chicks are tough.

i worked in Dutch Harbor and King Cove a few summers during college - nasty drunk fights @ the "Elbow Room" were the norm if the fish weren't running and/or some kind of strike was going on. if the fishing is great - $100 tips were common.

It's on my list of places to move. On my list right now are Alaska, Montana, and New Hampshire.
