More of an impact than you may think even. Let's say worst case scenario, Ron Paul gets 10% of the Republican votes in the primaries.

How many of us Ron Paul supporters will swallow our pride and vote for Romney, Guiliani, or F Thompson for President vs the Democrats if they win the nomination?

I know I won't. I will write in Ron Paul or refrain from voting for President. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe most of you will end up voting Republican anyway. But I think the Republicans have a sure fire loss in the Presidential race if Ron Paul isn't their candidtate.

Do you agree or will you still vote for whoever is nominated?

Best thing you can do if RP loses is get a popular selection out of 30,000 meetup members to run for congress seats. The rest provide grassroots support. The idea is MUCH bigger than the man. If RP loses, it means nothing more than there is more work to do. The fact that the idea has gained such traction is already a massive victory. The battle of ideas is the most important battle there is.

Dont fight City Hall, BE the City Hall. Country will then be firmly in the grasp of liberty loving people.

I'm sorry. I am traditionally a Democrat. The point is, I am not voting for any shills anymore. Obama and Clinton support La Raza's view that a "wave of hate" was responsible for the failure of the immigration bill. I'm sorry that is a lie.

So, I am writing in Ron Paul. Period end of story. Anyone that bails on Ron Paul now is missing the point of his campaign and why he is running. The system isn't going to change with any of the other candidates. It will be status quo.

I am sick and tired of all their rhetoric. Now Monday Bushy is up in Canada with the Mexican president trying to usher in a North American Union. Doesn't that piss anyone off? Especially with Congress out of session?

Although, sadly, Ron Paul's effecting the talking points of the other candidates does nothing to change this country once one of the CFR's chosen gets in. So effective they have been, in turning the meaning of words to their exact opposite, where freedom actually is slavery these days, and bringing democracy becomes raining death. I get so sick of it.

I have to be honest, i don't agree with you. Though Ron Paul is streaming along, if he doesn't win - those who end up winning will just drive America further into the globalist agenda and probably socialism... Ron Paul will be a memory.....

Fond memories have no place in this battle for liberty.

Exactly! America! I keep telling this to people that are supporting this Bush regime. They are such hard core Repubs wave the flag blah blah blah nuke Iran.

And that is how they want us to think. About the two party system. When we start any conversation with Ron Paul it has to be about "America" We as Americans uniting. That is what is so great about Dr. Paul. He is uniting across parties and voter demographics, color, creed etc!

We HAVE to take this country back. I hate to think of what the future will be in Rudy gets the nod. Or any other candidates get nominated. It is the same BS year after year. Less freedom, more government, more debt, more bullshit.

Well, even if he doesn't win the nomination, it is still a fascinating and groundbreaking experiment in internet grassroots and networking campaigns. And the best part is, all the videos, all the posts, all the letters, all the ideas, all the enthusiasm will still be there on the internet when we're long gone.

Anyone will be able to go back years from now and look at how a large, scattered group of disaffected patriots with nothing but a modem, a yard-sign, and a disdain for status-quo politics was able to coalesce into a movement bigger than they had ever dreamed, and how they fought for a brighter, free future.

I honestly think there has been a paradigm shift in American politics. The pundits will be talking about this in 6-12 months as if they predicted it all along. This shift began with the Dean candidacy, and it will finish with a Ron Paul presidency.

That's an awesome website... If I had the time and devotion to run for Congress I would.

But the endless slump of bills, being in school, working and taking care of the family gets in the way of that.

I do encourage citizen statesmen of course. The status quo we have with career politicians has dumped this country into the toilet. Electing citizens, instead of politicians is the only way we are going to get out of this mess.

Guys...
Why are we talking about this at this point? It's almost like we are creating our own self-fulfilling prophecy. Have you noticed that every couple of weeks, someone starts a thread like this? What if he doesn't win?

We'd better make damn sure he DOES win. Or I doubt we'll have a country much longer? Do you? This campaign is about pulling out all the stops, right now, while we do have a voice. Even though they're doing their best to shut us out.

Don't you think we have to go at this thing like there is no tomorrow? I do. Once the NAU is pushed through, our Constitution will be history and there will be no elections like we have right now.

It just seems to me that whether we're shy or whatever it is, we have to get over it, right now, and go after this election like it is our last chance to stave off a complete economic collapse, martial law, gulags and the complete loss of our Constitution and a sovereign United States. It is my opinion, that this is exactly the battle we are fighting.

I don't know you guys. I'll be the lone flame target and say that I still see a huge difference between republican and democrat. Ron Paul is my ideal almost, being a conservative leaning libertarian without, e.g., wacky ideas on immigration.

But if it really comes down to, say, Mitt vs. Edwards, I'd have to choose Mitt. Single payer socialized medicine and regulating us to death for global warming scares the hell out of me. Almost any democrat wants that on day 1, and republicans are going the other way. On top of that, there's gun control and supreme court nominees.

You know what I have learned since May (when my eyes were opened up) ... I'm tired of voting the lesser of 2 evils. I will NEVER again vote for someone I have no confidence in - just to vote.

Why is the revolution happening now? Why, in 2007 are people suddenly rising up and reaching for the solid foundation of the constitution and the founding fathers? It can't be a coincidence. Bush was Bush in 2004, yet this didn't happen. We are meant to take the country back, people, and we have a tremendous battle in front of us in which we can never back down.

I wholeheartedly agree! If Ron Paul wins it will be fantastic, but it will not be sufficient. He can't be there in Washington D.C. alone. We need to pack congress for him, and back that up with freedom loving folks in the states, counties and cities. Then even if he loses we can still win.

Exactly. I've seen and heard enough of the same BS. It is so much more inspirational listening to what Ron Paul has to say. I mean all the interviews with those interested in what he has to say are just so passionate. It's infectious.

I have even talked to a co-worker and we were talking about taxes at the national level. He said I don't want my taxes going for such and such. I said "Well vote for Ron Paul then!" and I said it really fast. He goes, "I like what Ron Paul has to say" and starts talking about the You Tube videos! I was floored.

It's the message. It's uniting all Americans across all parties and voter demographics, colors, creeds, ages!

That would be a good poll: who would you vote for if Dr. Paul does not win the primaries:
Democrat
Republican
Green
Libertarian
other
or write in Ron Paul.

We could get a petition of signers saying they'd write in Dr. Paul and send it to the different parties. It might change the way they campaign-- then again that just means they'll say anything to get elected and pander.

For me it's Ron Paul wins the primaries or bust! I think our country is currently in that bad of trouble.

I'd rather be in socialist land than have half the country die in a continually expanding war. I think Mitt will get us all killed as he marches us into a religious crusade against Islam. He wants to double Guantanamo. He thinks what we've done in Iraq is GOOD! I'd never vote for that guy.. just my two cents. But lets consider that talk of the draft was at first "no way" and is now "not at this time".

But to be fair I think Hilary will do exactly the same thing. In fact I think that about pretty much all of them. They all talk about using force and continually trying to manage the world. Keeping one foot out there is like keeping one foot in the grave IMO.
