Let's pull out charts and do a square regression between the pastor's behaviors and the politician's behavior to find a correlation! ;)

That's why a candidate (or anyone for that matter) should be know by their actions, character and itegrity not by their pastor's reputation.
God has no grandchildren.

Hence my immense respect for Ron Paul in that regard:

I have never been one who is comfortable talking about my faith in the political arena. In fact, the pandering that typically occurs in the election season I find to be distasteful. But for those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God. My record of public service reflects my reverence for the Natural Rights with which we have been endowed by a loving Creator.

Preach the Gospel...if necessary use words.

LEK, and that's not the half of it.

Other Republicans, like Huckabee, would have no qualms about passing legislation on morality to "promote a more Christian nation" while Paul totally understand that the gospel is to be freely taken or refused; God has no interest in fake sincerity or coerced worship. If that was what he wanted, he'd have made automated puppets with no free wills. Paul lives up to the maxim of loving all sinners while hating the sins pretty well, IMO. He really does get it while the rest of "Christians" are... well, holier-than-thou.
