I wouldn't because Ventura is pro-abortion, and that is one issue I will not compromise on.

No. Jesse Ventura was a terrible governor. Noone in their right mind would elect him as President.

i can understand your concerns but would you really let that single issue get in the way of everything they could accomplish together, even considering that the abortion issue wouldnt be addressed by anyone else running , and also considering the executive branch doesnt even have the power to overturn roe vs wade.

just my 2 cents

It seems like Ventura is a better speaker than RP and might appeal to traditional Republican voters more.

I'd vote for that ticket, but I'm not sure I like Ventura. Barr-Paul for President! http://www.bobbarr2008.com/

I did not vote in the poll because I do not know enough about where he stands on a variety of issues. Ron Paul is a straightforward type of non-politician in the american sense, with a proven record in Government. Jesse Ventura is not so clear to me today:

A lot of this sounds good but it is 6-8 years old. Where does he stand today? And what is to say Dr. Paul would even be a part of it?

I'd much, much rather see Paul/anybody than anybody/Paul. VP's have no power. President's have the most of any person in the world. I want Dr. P in the power position.

I like Ventura way more than McCain or any dem, but I'd probably vote Libertarian over Ventura/Paul.

I think I could vote for Ventura/Paul or Paul/Ventura. Obviously, I'll vote for Dr. Paul even if hell freezes over but I was thinking that we could use a tough guy on our side. I mean, McCain has Arnold and Stallone, Huckabee had Chuck Morris, Ventura would be a very good choice and could help us with the Revolution. Plus, Ventura would probably bring Trump and Vince into our camp.

absolutely
i hope ventura runs so if, for some strange reason paul doesn't get the nomination, i can have someone to support

Ventura blurs the concept of politics and entertainment.

Ventura is also very rich himself and both DONALD TRUMP AND VINCE MCMAHON support him.

Ventura blurs the concept of politics and entertainment.

It might be good, though, to have someone who has (generally) the same principles as Ron Paul but who can work the media at their own game--blurring entertainment and politics.

I'd vote Ventura/Paul. Even though Vince McMahon is a producer of inane, degenerate shit.

Baseless comment.

Jessie was a good navy seal, a good wrestler, a good mayor, a good football coach, and an awesome governor. He is a honest man, the real deal.

I would vote for Ventura/Paul, Ventura/Anybody. And I am in my right mind~

i am all for ventura in 2008.

Having a movie star as a president was the last bad idea like this that I remember. Reagan talked a good Freedom game, but couldn't deliver once he got in office.

well ventura would be very reluctant to run (who does that remind you of)
if he ended up becoming present, i don't think he would turn on his principles, especially not to appease special interests

Jesse Ventura isn't pro-abortion. The following are three brief description of his views where it is clear he isn't 'pro-abortion'. He is for keeping abortion legal but that doesn't mean he is out there trying to talk people into abortions.

* Keep abortion legal on privacy grounds. (Jul 2000)
* Doesn’t support abortion, but leave them legal. (Jan 1999)
* Abortion decision belongs with the woman and who she chooses. (Nov 1998)

Absolutely, it would be a million times better than what we are facing with McCain, Obama or Hillery . . . .

+1

Any candidate that won't use his position to defend the weakest members of society automatically disqualifies himself in my mind.
