Just curious. I recently received a letter from the IRS about this.
I still plan to donate my $600 back to Ron Paul when I get mine.
I know that everyone will not receive it simultaneously but I was
wondering if anyone had a plan about coordinating when to
moneybomb the money back. I was thinking about the first of each
month starting with June & finishing at September 1st.

Anyone else interested in that plan?

IRS will start mailing in May and continue thru July. E-filers are reported to be the ones who can expect their "stimulus package" first.

I thought they were being mailed out according to Social Security numbers and whether or not you chose direct deposit starting May 2nd.

I was under the impression that the highest amount was going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,200.

Why $2,400 for you? Does it have anything to do with kids?

My girlfriend has 2 kids, one of which is mine, and she's single status. I'm "invisible" so to speak. I'm not a dependent, nor am I on the record as an income earner in the household. She usually gets back just about everything at refund time, and hardly has anything deducted from her paychecks to begin with. Plus, she gets $2,500 per child at refund time as well.

Should we be expecting more than $1,200?

Did you know that the IRS has spent $500 million dollars of the stimulus money, sending out notices and reminders? And they havent even cut the first check yet...

How about a STIMULUS MONEY BOMB for the campaign? Time to get those numbers back up again.

Doesn't this amount also get taken out of any return you might have at the end of 2008?

NoMoreApathy - why doesn't she claim you as a dependent? Sorry if I'm being too nosy. Just curious but you don't have to answer if you don't want...

I just read that the minimum you get is $300 the max $600 unless married then $1,200. And you $300 per kid I think it was, and you had to file for 07, have made a minimum of $3,000,they start mailing them or direct depositing them in May. Depends on how you asked for your return with the direct deposit/mail thing. Just search it you will find the info.

Also if you make more than $75K you can kiss that rebate goodbye. At least that's what my letter from the IRS said.
