It will be black & white.

State abbreviations are capitalized: PA

Also, the content was pretty good, but the text was really chunked together. My first impression was wanting to skip it altogether.

Please delete, 'Of the importance of an honest independent and unbiased press. Now you centralized "Mainstream Media" is full of propaganda, distortions, and omissions.' and put a space in between the rest of your good points. The Mainstream Media stuff will just freak people out, and Ron Paul isn't planning on changing that as President anyway (at least in one term)...

Remove the North American Union nonsense.

"Founding Father's" --> "Founding Fathers" (no apostrophe)

"Bulletize" your bullet points. It will make the ad easier to read and generally easier on the eyes.

Remove extraneous quotation mark after "Dr. Ron Paul is".

"Against Iraq War" --> "Against the Iraq war" or "Against the war in Iraq"

Abolish should not be capitalized.

"100% Supports the U.S. Constitution" --> "Supports the U.S. Constitution 100%"

"North America Union" --> "North American Union" (America --> American)

Fix spacing/kerning and baseline alignment on the last line.

Remove the North American Union nonsense.

I agree.

Also, The words aren't organized very well. Not professional looking.

I just looked at it again. I think this is correct in regards to grammar, "Now you labor six months out of the year."

and instead of 'Now a secretive government can spy on you and detain you under "National Security"'... you could put, "Now a secretive government has the power to spy on you without a warrant and to detain you without reason* under the pretense of National Security."

*not sure if that applies to US citizens or just non-citizens

There is a controversy over whether this law affects the rights of habeas corpus for United States citizens.

The text of the law states that its "purpose" is to "establish procedures governing the use of military commissions to try alien unlawful enemy combatants engaged in hostilities against the United States for violations of the law of war and other offenses triable by military commission." While the most controversial provisions in the law refer to "alien unlawful enemy combatants", section 948a refers to "unlawful enemy combatants" (not explicitly excluding US citizens).

Cato Institute legal scholar Robert A. Levy writes that the Act denies habeas rights only to aliens, and that US citizens detained as "unlawful combatants" would still have habeas rights with which to challenge their indefinite detention.[7] While formally opposed to the Act, Human Rights Watch has also concluded that the new law limits the scope of trials by military commissions to non-US citizens including all legal aliens. [8] CBS legal commentator Andrew Cohen, commenting on this question, writes that the "suspension of the writ of habeas corpus—the ability of an imprisoned person to challenge their confinement in court—applies only to resident aliens within the United States as well as other foreign nationals captured here and abroad" and that "it does not restrict the rights and freedoms and liberties of U.S. citizens anymore than they already have been restricted."[9]

On the other hand, congressman David Wu (D–OR) stated in the debate over the bill on the floor of the House of Representatives that "by so restricting habeas corpus, this bill does not just apply to enemy aliens. It applies to all Americans because, while the provision on page 93 has the word "alien in it, the provision on page 61 does not have the word alien in it." For more on this interpretation, see criticism.

lol. I wasjust about to head to photoshop to throw something together. Great minds think alike. This is very nice!

To the OP if you plan on keep your ad you MUST fix the mispelled words. Also...move the RP pic to the top under RP for president Someone suggested bullets. PLEASE use those so it looks more organized. Can you change the font?

The ad I quoted above looks great...I would use that, or use it as a blueprint to create my own. You've got the right idea, though. Good luck to you!

Wayyy too much words. You know what I think would be perfect?

"WHO RECEIVED MORE DONATIONS FROM ACTIVE MILITARY PERSONNEL THAN ANY OTHER CANDIDATE?

Ron Paul 2008
Who is Ron Paul? Google Ron Paul"

We really need to scrap the "Who is Ron Paul?", "Google Ron Paul"

That was fine 6 months ago, when people were trying to get any little scrap of attention.

But they aren't suitable for every circumstance. If you want people to vote for Ron Paul, don't make him sound like someone no one has heard of before.

If you are trying to tell people about Ron Paul, you can go back to the stuff that was done last year.

I'd recommend posting his stands, and tailor it to a PA audience. You don't have to list everything, just the important things.

Just my 2 cents.

The designer's files for the ad below are available if you are interested in editing it for your state and target audience and republishing it. Send me a private message if you would like the original files. The ad was created with InDesign CS3; fonts and images are included. The designer was gracious enough to allow me to redistribute his work; if you are interested in hiring him for additional work, or to work with you on customizing this ad for your target audience or publication requirements, please let me know.

As discussed in this thread (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=90209), the ad as it appears below was published in The Land, a rural Minnesota newsmagazine with circulation of 33,000.

No problem. When I get back to work tomorrow, I'll put together a higher resolution version and give you the original photoshop file with the layers. Do you have exact specs for the ad including sizes, any bleed area, required resolution, and available colors. I think you said it would be in a newspaper so the ad may look much different. You can PM me the specs and I'll do what I can to assist you.
