Just got this email from Care2.com

Hi Dustan,
%

Care2 also decided to hold our own Iowa straw poll, and while most of you (60%) noted that you are "not voting Republican," the rest of the results are as follows:

Ron Paul - 27%
Mitt Romney - 2%
McCain or Giuliani - 2%
Tommy Thompson - 1%
Mike Huckabee - 1%
Tom Tancredo - 1%

Thanks to everyone who took the poll!

This is a very Democrat site, 60% said they were voting for a Democrat. But for RP to get 27% of probable Democratic voters is huge. That means he could almost win their primary as well.

Yes, I've always been suprised by the reception Ron Paul has from Democrats. It's almost better (certainly more civil) than the reception he's gotten from Republican power brokers.

One thing I love is what Ron Paul can possibly do to influence Democrats into a more pro-liberty (and anti-socialist) position. Democrats like him because "Just Come Home" is closer to where the Democratic base is than their own frontrunning presidential candidates are. Plus, they love his philosophy, and Ron Paul lives his philosophy and it is amazing to see.
