MrChubbs and I are keeping a PalTalk (web conference) open over the weekend. You don't need a webcam to chat, but I set one up (Logitech QuickCam), it's not hard at all.

Go on PalTalk and set up an account, help us build this up. Get the free software and then log in by "Join a Chat Room".

The go to the politics section and look for "Ron Paul Grassroots"

We're ignoring the trolls and oddballs for now. Just go in and test it out. If you don't see my face, then -duh- I'm not in there! :)

I've had the room up all day... so far a few teenagers dropped by, need more RP people. For the next hour you can watch me print and fold flyers. WOW!

In Marketing 101, they would call me a "Late Adopter" :D. I was on Windows 98 until 2002. Still on XP now.

Well we did pick up a few people tonight as an audience, and we "got verbal" (in a civil way) with a guy who wanted to say that we must continue to "spread democracy".

Hey there's always chat mode if you don't have a mic. :)

Well I've been a proponent of setting up a TalkShoe (or equivalent) webconference on other nights. Something that anybody can access from a telephone (but with sufficient moderating powers). There may be a Linux client for that, or for some similar "talk radio" style webconference.

Bump.

I'll be gone for the rest of the day but will be leaving the room open. Anyone interested in being a member of the group, visit the main page and ask to join. As membership size grows, this group will become more appealing to new members... (it is the large rooms tend to "snowball" with fresh joiners.) Heck, there are groups with hundreds of people just for car repairs, etc.
