Awesome, I became a delegate, but Fayette county was an infuriating disaster from what I hear.

If only one county was a disaster, then we are in good shape.

Fayette has the most delegate slots (166)

My county has 64 slots, around 20 got filed with party hacks, and at least 5 (maybe 7) got filled with Ron Paul people.

Well, if we garner most from the other counties (or most other counties) and gain some from Fayette, we can win everywhere but that CD.

I'm trying to encourage a friend who was there to post the story here. He and others called me up and the first thing they would say is "WTF!!!"

They were raging mad. One friend said that he had seen the face of pure corruption with his own eyes, and was dumbfounded.

I'll see if I can get patrickdsg to post the story here.

Thread about Fayette County is here:

I attended the convention in Metcalfe County. This is a small county; we have 7 delegate spots total for the county. I am a delegate to the district convention. I don't know that there were any other Ron Paul supporters there except for one woman who likes him but will vote for whoever is the nominee. She wasn't pushing Ron Paul. Of course, neither was I. My goal was to be in a position to influence the local party. Most of the people there were older (gray haired) and party supporters, rather than principle/platform supporters (my impression).

It was interesting that I am the ONLY precinct captain in the whole county and the only one they've had in years. I am PC because I went to the precinct meeting last Saturday and was the only one there. The party leadership was excited to have a new active member. Not many people locally want to take the responsibility of involvement.

6th district delegates, why haven't you PMed me? For real, this is slightly urgent. I need any and all 6th district delegates to PM me.

You do know that, hopefully at least, 90% of them aren't even registered on the forums.
