Last week, Ron Paul did a 7 minute campaign video update that left some of us a bit confused. Yet Dr. Paul's marching orders in the video were clear... "... we do still encourage all effort to gain the maximum number of votes and delegates in all the remaining Primaries..."

Since that video update, we've now had this week to get additional clarification from both Ron and his son Rand Paul.
Click here to review their updates:
Ron Paul on CNN, Monday March 10th
Rand Paul - Is the Revolution Over, or Just Beginning?

So how should these updates affect us in Montana? They shouldn't change us one bit from our original objectives.

When this began there were 11 candidates running for the GOP Presidential nomination -- now there are two.

Don't believe the media spin or rumors that this campaign is now over. Listen to Dr. Paul yourself. Ron Paul has not suspended, or ended his campaign, and the job before us is the same as before. Despite the manipulation and lies told in the mainstream media, know this:

John McCain has NOT won the nomination and won't. At least not until the voting takes place in September at the National Convention in Minneapolis. If McCain doesn't self-implode by then it will be a miracle - September is a long ways away and more skeletons comes out on McCain daily.

Also, the majority of his so called delegates are not "bound" or required to vote for him, even if McCain won that particular state's popular vote.

One thing's for sure... a majority of delegates released first by Romney and now by Huckabee find John McCain repugnant and do not want to vote for him.

The good news is that depending on the state, those delegates don't have to!

Again, do NOT fall for the lies and spin coming from the media. This race is not over by a long shot.

In Montana, we all know Ron Paul took second in the February Presidential Caucus (behind Romney, who has now officially released his Montana delegates).

The soon to be elected delegates from Montana, who will represent you and I at the National Convention, are now legally free to vote for the Presidential candidate of their choice.

Our next task - help Ron Paul to take FIRST in the June 3rd Primary, and send a LOUD MESSAGE to the GOP powers that be (both National and State) that we do not accept John McCain as their "presumptive" nominee.

Immediate Action Items:

1) PRECINCT COMMITTEE POSITIONS - File by Thursday, March 20 to run for (and/or maintain) your Precinct Committee positions. THIS IS VITAL.
Even those appointed just before the Caucus still have to file a form with your County Election Dept. by the deadline, to be on the June ballot and maintain your Precinct position. Those who wanted a Precinct position before the Caucus but couldn't because it was already full, now is your chance. It costs nothing to file, so you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. This is our chance to gain voting majority in every Central Committee in Montana and help shape our future.

If you do nothing else, do this: file to become a Precinct Committeeman or Committeewoman.

2) Get ready to become a delegate from your County to attend the State Convention in Missoula this June.
This is a vital position anyone can apply for. County delegates get to vote on who becomes National delegates, and that is the key to Ron Paul winning the GOP nomination in September.

Warning: Montana State GOP leadership is likely to fall in line with the National GOP and media's anointing of John McCain. I don't know about you, but for me personally, McCain will never get my vote.

3) Continue to spread Ron's message of "Hope for America"
We must continue to educate all Montanan's on the important issues that the Ron Paul campaign has used to wake up the masses. Let your communities know that Ron Paul is still in the race. The people of Montana can still send a very strong message by voting on principle, and not letting the media decide who gets our vote.

Update: I am working on scheduling Ron Paul to campaign in Montana. More info on that as we review possible dates and locations.

As we work to accomplish our goals, it's best to assume we may not get cooperation, and in fact might face strong opposition from state and/or local GOP leaders for us not getting in line and supporting McCain.
Not to worry. We have principle and right on our side. That along with a good game plan and the best grassroots army in the nation, and we will deliver Montana for Ron Paul.

My next email will go into more detail on just how we'll do that, and how you can play a vital role in our success moving forward.

Never give up, Never surrender,
