Veep's are not required to have major policies - Cheney was an anomaly -
but can act as an advisor to the President and of course be ready to serve in the executive branch if necessary
as well as the legislative branch functions as President of the Senate.

All of Ron Paul's ideas would have someone as intelligent as Obama's ear at least - and the ticket would beat McCain/Romney or whoever.

Could you imagine the Vice-Presidential debates between RP and Mitt this fall ?
