Homeschooling Fairs, Conventions and Conferences might be a good place to showcase Ron Paul.

Unfortunately the California one just ended

http://californiahomeschool.net/default.htm

And the Washington one isn't until next June

But you might want to check the Homeschooling association for your state. Maybe in your state it is upcoming.

I second this. Home school families tend to be free thinkers.

I was thinking of homeschooling my daughter... If I want her to go to a good school, I'd have to shell out a 1k a month. When I was younger a good education was free, now its been overrun -- and if I want a quality education for my daughter what are my options? arggghhhhhhhhhhh

Homeschooling is the way to go if you can possibly afford the commitment, and your child wants it.

There is a lot on the net about it but would anybody volunteer some personal experience here or links to good home schooling materials on this thread. Seems Paul has a lot of respect for it. Inquiring minds want to know. Thank you.:D

Read this book, it will give you great ideas, especially on what to avoid. Whole book online: http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/underground/toc1.htm

I am homeschooling my daughter, but it will alter your lifestyle.

Homeschooling children consistently score far higher in all areas of acedemics. Next is private schooled children. Far last is our wonderful stupendous public education system.

I hate to break it to the liberals, but women were meant to stay at home with the children. They are exceedingly efficient at it, and the children benefit in ways that can not be replicated. The children love it, and it creates internal mental and emotional stability that lasts a life time. It is NO SHAME for a woman to DO SO. Somehow some people see a stay at home mom as some kind of INFERIOR person in life. That position is one of the most EXHAULTED positions.

So here's my shout out there to all those homeschooling moms: DON'T GIVE UP! :)
