What I find so exciting and one of a kind about Ron Paul is that he stands up against so much power and money. If this fight is won, it will be a true example of the American people rising up against some of the more powerful organizations and lobbies the Wolrd has ever known. NONE of these organizations have the American people in their best interests.
Ron Paul is against the Military Industrial Comlex:
The current (2005) United States military budget is larger than the military budgets of the next fourteen biggest spenders combined, and over eight times larger than the official military budget of China. The United States and its close allies are responsible for approximately two-thirds of all military spending on Earth (of which, in turn, the US is responsible for the majority).

Ron Paul is against AIPAC:
"No lobby has managed to divert U.S. foreign policy as far from what the American national interest would otherwise suggest, while simultaneously convincing Americans that U.S. and Israeli interests are essentially identical".[2] They argue that "in its basic operations, it is no different from interest groups like the Farm Lobby, steel and textile workers, and other ethnic lobbies. What sets the Israel Lobby apart is its extraordinary effectiveness."

AIPAC makes sure that its friends get strong financial support from the myriad pro-Israel PACs. Ron Paul is against the War on Drugs:
U.S. government's cost report on drug control to be roughly 12 billion dollars in 2005. Additionally, in a separate report, the U.S. government reports that the cost of incarcerating drug law offenders was $30.1 billion, $9.1 billion for police protection, $4.5 billion for legal adjudication, and $11.0 billion for state and federal corrections. In total, roughly $45.5 billion was spent in 2005 for these factors.[1]

There will be enormous amounts of money not just flowing away from Ron Paul, but actually going into coffers to fight directly against him. This is an epic battle we have before us.
