I think rather than deliberately pissing him off we should start all calls with fundamental agreements with his positions on the subject matter, then follow them up with "but the MOST wasteful government program is our overseas empire."

Don't even have to mention Ron Paul.

Agreed. This is the way to deal with him.

God I wish I could call and pull a Colbert on him! I'm at work! Arrggh.

Anyone with chutzpah want to try out this idea?

"Hi, I'm _______ and I don't get to see you often enough. I saw something on the internet about calling Ron Paul and calling him a looser or something, and that kind of tickled me a bit. I missed the context though. What was the reason for that again?"

He'll say something, but no matter what he says, you say:

"So you mean, high taxes wars against inanimate things and illegal immigration are good things now?"

If he doesn't hang up, no matter what he says you say:

"Oh, I see. personal privacy and liberty are bad things now, you know, because of the elevated threat level, right?"

Then you can tell his viewers, not him, to check out Ron Paul's issues pages before calling the campaign.
