This was featured on the front page of Yahoo.com and I'm starting to see how all of this global warming scare is starting to frighten all of us into submission to the Elite without us even realizing it.

A general rule:

If it scares the average TV viewer, then you can bet it's intended to manipulate the masses into voluntarily giving up their liberty.

This came up on another forum, and another poster sneered at me, "So you think that people should just be allowed to drop as many kids as they want to?"

I just can't imagine being that effed up in the head.

Though regulating childrearing certainly sounds immoral, the question of overpopulation on earth is a wise debate to have. How many more years until our population is 10 billion? 20 billion? 50 billion? Will earth be able to handle our consumption and waste? What happens when our food supply is interrupted just a little? Even today if there were a cyclical cooling spell, millions if not billions would die from famine and malnourishment.

What would be a good response to these inevitabilities?

Americans aren't the ones reproducing. Almost all of our population growth is from immigration. Prosperity and education tends to bring about lower birth rates. Look at Europe as well.

Most of the population growth is in the rest of the world.

Even if Global Warming is a threat, which it might be, the Earth is still gonna be in another ice age in 15,000 years. It is infuriating, depressing, and predictable that this phenomenon is being used as an excuse to stop procreation. Seriously, this type of subtle "save the earth" propaganda is frightening and it is hard not to theorize that there exists a mass conspiracy of powerful people to destroy the human race, killing it off, until they have a manageable slave force.

Humans would get wiped out by famine, disease, whatever. Thats how nature achieves balance.

I agree with the video. It's the sun. The Bible says that in the last days the sun will burn and who knows it could be the start of that or just another cycle.

CO2 is baloney, I don't believe it. I agree with the video.

Well, that sure is a logical reponse to the problem, but dont be surprised when others try to actively manage the inevitable crisis. Not all humans are comfortable with the "were going to be wiped out anyway so lets not do anything about it" argument.

I think the "western" world has nothing to fear. We growing at a lot slower rate then other parts of the world. Russia is still loosing population, European whites also dying out. So for the most part we might not even confront this problem and even if we do we will have a lot of knowledge about it.

I believe in global warming, and see it as a serious threat, but these people disgust me. They view humanity as a disease that is in constant battle against Earth rather than as one of Earth's noblest creatures, perfectly capable of protecting the environment without having to become some sacrificial, eco-friendly death cult.

Hell, if humans were that big an immediate threat to Earth, it would probably just purge us, or adapt to man-made materials within a few hundred years.

My local community study group is currently discussing "Population Growth", and a member brought up the following insights from Jared Diamond (author of Guns, Germs, and Steel):

What's Your Consumption Factor?
http://www.truthout.org/issues_06/010208EC.shtml

Population versus Consumption
http://www.loe.org/shows/segments.htm?programID=08-P13-00004&segmentID=3
Basically, Diamond says that it's not population that we should be more concerned about, our main problem is the runaway consumption of resources (especially by wealthy societies like ours).
Here's a short excerpt:

If most of the world’s 6.5 billion people were in cold storage and not metabolizing or consuming, they would create no resource problem. What really matters is total world consumption, the sum of all local consumptions, which is the product of local population times the local per capita consumption rate.

Pollution is actually worse in middle income and 3rd world countries. The factories tend not to have scrubbers or the newer technology that prevents the grave air quality problems that affected cities like Pittsburgh and etc before the 80´s. China is legendary for polluting. India tends to have disasters like Bhopal and rivers such as the Ganges are terribly polluted.

Now lets go to the issue of "pollution and waste per person". How many babies do people have in these countries on average? Remember that in the US, our population would be static or in a slow decline if it wasn't for immigration. China is still growing population-wise despite their "one child policy".

For those who think that we are bad at producing trash and polluting the air, Mexico City has HORRIFIC air quality that would make LA look clean. You are also more likely to see tire dumps being set on fire and trash thrown on the sides of the roads. Tijuana's air quality is worse than any major city that I have been to in the US. (I had never had an asthma attack in my life until moving here. The attacks went away when I moved from the urban core to the outskirts.)

Us Americans aren't polluting ourselves nearly as bad as the alarmists say, and on top of that the military and other federal agencies ARE THE TOP POLLUTERS. The Navy and other branches are known for contaminating.

As far as recycling and not poisoning the air and water, those are common sense issues that deal with property rights (recycling metals has a money incentive, and one shouldn't be able to contaminate another person's property).

"...current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class - involving high meat intake use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning, and suburban housing - are not sustainable. A shift is necessary. which will require a vast strengthening of the multilateral system, including the United Nations..." [1] Maurice Strong , opening speech at the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development

Agenda 21, the UN blueprint for global transformation, sounds good to many well meaning people. Drafted for the purpose of creating "sustainable societies", it has been welcomed by nations around the world. Political, cultural, and media leaders have embraced its alluring visions of social justice and a healthy planet. They hide the lies behind its doomsday scenarios and fraudulent science. Relatively few consider the contrary facts and colossal costs.

After all, what could be wrong with preserving resources for the next generation? Why not limit consumption and reduce energy use? Why not abolish poverty and establish a global welfare system to train parents, monitor intolerance, and meet all our needs? Why not save the planet by trading cars for bikes, an open market for "self-sustaining communities," and single dwellings for dense "human settlements" (located on transit lines) where everyone would dialogue, share common ground, and be equal?

The answer is simple. Marxist economics has never worked. Socialism produces poverty, not prosperity. Collectivism creates oppression, not freedom. Trusting environmental "scientists" who depend on government funding and must produce politically useful "information" will lead to economic and social disaster. 3

Even so, local and national leaders around the world are following the UN blueprint for global management and "sustainable communities," and President Clinton is leading the way. A letter I received from The President's Council on Sustainable Development states that -

In April 1997, President Clinton asked the council to advise him on: next steps in building a new environmental management system for the 21st century... and policies that foster U.S. leadership on sustainable development internationally. The council was also charged to ensure that social equity issues are fully integrated ... (Emphasis added)

Many of our representatives are backing his plan. In a 1997 letter congratulating the Local Agenda 21 Advisory Board in Santa Cruz for completing their Action Plan, Congressman Sam Farr wrote,

The Local Agenda 21 Action Plan not only has local significance, it also will have regional and national impacts. As you know, the President's Council on Sustainable Development is beginning Phase III of its work with an emphasis on sustainable communities.4 (emphasis added)

This agenda may already be driving your community ís "development", so be alert to the clues. Notice buzzwords such as "visioning," "partners," and "stakeholders." Know how to resist the consensus process. Ask questions, but don't always trust the answers. Remember, political activists, like self-proclaimed education "change agents", have put expediency above integrity. As North Carolina school superintendent Jim Causby said at a 1994 international model school conference, "We have actually been given a course in how not to tell the truth. You've had that course in public relations where you learn to put the best spin on things."5

To recognize and resist this unconstitutional shadow government of laws and regulations being imposed on our nation without congressional approval, take a closer look at its history and nature.

I swear that post by Pablo Pastor sounds like a govt plant. Or has been reading some psyops recently. Who actually thinks like that?

Anyone smart enough to consider this would also have some basic ideas about population growth in most countries. Europe declining, USA mostly immigration. The rest of the world is where growth is.

I saw the special. The message was clear, people evil, nature good. We will see more programs and more articles to brainwash the masses into believing we need population control, then population reduction and euthanasia. I mean really, what purpose do those old people serve? They just take up health resources. What about the retarded? They are really a burden. Then there are criminals and all those depressed people. We need strong worker bees. You get the picture. Global warming is nothing but a fraud designed to tax us and control us. If you believe in Global warming then please start studying the case against it. I think that the special was called A H (after humans) target population zero. They called the Statue of Liberty a structure of power. I always thought that it signified Freedom.

Georgia Guidestones
Taken form: http://www.radioliberty.com/stones.htm
THE MESSAGE OF THE GEORGIA GUIDESTONES

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties. I love this one
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

Limiting the population of the earth to 500 million will require the extermination of nine-tenths of the world's people. The American Stonehenge's reference to establishing a world court foreshadows the current move to create an International Criminal Court and a world government. The Guidestones' emphasis on preserving nature anticipates the environmental movement of the 1990s, and the reference to "seeking harmony with the infinite" reflects the current effort to replace Judeo-Christian beliefs with a new spirituality.
