Perhaps they didn't need is damning faint praise of Ron Paul any more.

This reminds me of how Jon Stewart single handedly got Tuckers Crossfire show canceled.

No. It had nothing to do with Ron Paul. Paul isn't relevant enough to get Tucker fired for praising him. He got fired because his show got terrible ratings. It's a business and just like any other business, if their product isn't selling, they get rid of it. I watched David Gregory's show the other day and it was already miles ahead of Tucker's show.

David Gregory is awful.

Tucker is certainly an aquired taste, but Gregory is simply bad taste.

I heard that after election season, Rachel Maddow will be getting that time slot.

David Gregory is awful.

Seriously. Someone needs to drug this guy and shave his head.

David Gregory's show just keeps getting better and better. I'm sure when Rachel Madow takes over that it'll be just as good. Tucker was a liability to MSNBC and I'm glad they cut him.

It's been known since at least October that liberal radio host and MSNBC contributor Rachel Maddow was going to get her own show. The only question was who she was going to replace, and even that was pretty clear with Tucker's crappy ratings.
