haha, our skepticism is our own worse enemy and maybe one of our greatest assets as free-thinkers. We fear of giving any information that the Government could use against us, yet it is "information" in general that is power. It is this kind of organized communication of supporters that is the ONLY way to ever see victory.

So what is the solution?

we need to make sure that our information is protected from others who would seek to use it (like the infiltration of the enemy into our network)
we need to have trusted transparency in the development and management of such a system.
everyone trusts Ron Paul but do not trust all of his campaign staff. That is a bit of a paradox. HQ doesn't do anything and those with good intentions and willing to help are met with skepticism. What do we do?


Most of this particular network that Harold is creating is a tool for communication and sharing of ideas and information (not unlike this forum). It is a community platform that allows people to vote on who to support, what ventures to pursue, and even just a method of keeping people informed of what is going on within the Movement.

But some of the more sophisticated features like myself and Harold may be building to help our delegates, precinct leaders, supporters, and to help us determine the areas of canvassing coverage throughout the U.S., are a little more tricky. The information is extremely valuable to the Movement, but it wouldn't make sense to allow it to be accessed to any average person on the Internet. So how to we leverage such a tool with our Grassroots network and still protect it internally? I don't have the answer but I'm sure Harold and myself are open for suggestions.

I can create a password protected login for sensitive info such as that. The site is for the people and am just providing the tools and platform for you to succeed.
People can create private groups that they only choose who gets to go in. Say for instance someone on there creates a Delegate group for Ron Paul. It would be up to them to protect that information and choose who they allow in their group. Then it would be up to the people in that group to keep that info protected.
All the tools are there to do whatever you want and you can invite whoever you want into your group. The site is user driven and controlled, with our easy menu system you can go specifically to any topic you want without being bombarded with articles and info about issues you don't care about.

The Government Security website at
http://www.governmentsecurity.org has produced a nice list of IP address you should be aware of as a tester.
They are mostly government agencies addresses and could quickly get you in trouble if you would scan them by mistake.

About the JustGetThere Team

We are a focused group of transformational activists who intend to build a platform that enables individuals to make an impact in the world. Our mission is to provide the tools to educate, collaborate and initiate positive change that will challenge the status quo.

We are not sponsored by, or linked to, any particular group, political party, organization, religion, ideology, or government. We want to provide an open forum for discussion of ideas, rethinking preconceptions, and building networks across party and ideological lines. Our dream is to see Republican and Democrat, vegan and hunter, leftist and right-winger, and any other "opposites" you can think of, sitting across the virtual table and hashing out ways we can all put aside our differences in order to build a better world.

About the Site

There are three sections to the site:

* JustGetThere:

The main site. A place where we will be posting relevant articles, videos,
events, user submissions and other media that will help us all make a bigger impact on the world.

* RightThere:

The social network of JustGetThere. This is your platform to create your base of operations in our network. Create your profile and upload photos, videos and info to reflect your interests. Find like minded people and use or chat feature to have instant communication to the people on the network. You can also start public or private groups to take on the issues for positive change.

* Are We There Yet?:

The JustGetThere member forum. The content of this site is driven by you. Post topics, debate issues, find common ground.

As of right now, all three sections are undergoing construction and testing. Some are more complete than others. Right now, we need your help. Please submit suggestions, encouragement, scathing critiques, or anything else you think would be useful in helping us make JustGetThere the best site possible.

We have the opportunity to build a vast community that can unify and create a beneficial shift in the social paradigm. So where do we want to be? In a place of understanding and respect for each other? A place where the individual has the ability to act according to his or her will without coercion or aggression from an external authority? It’s time we realize that we have the power, we can effect change, we can take control of our destiny in life. This is the place we want to be, in a society of individuals empowered by information and the wisdom to discern it and make informed decisions to improve themselves thus improving society.
