A captive audience of movie watchers, with ads that keep circulating would give people enough time to read some information about Ron Paul.

From the quality of most of them it seems like they're just powerpoint slides.

I've also seen video commercials as well.

Does anyone know anything about movie theater ads?

These guys cover advertisements for the following theaters:

Regal
United Artists
AMC
Cinemark
Century
Edwards
Lowes
Hoyts

They can do still shots, will accept 15-30-45-60 second ads, or can make ads for you.

You have to give them a call and give them your info. Then a regional/local sales agent will contact you regarding pricing.

Their number is 1-800-SCREEN1

WOW, I never even thought of that. Do one of those still shots that play before the movie is starting up. They can't be that expensive and a lot of people will see it.

There are some movies that attract people who might be very receptive to Ron Paul's message more than others. We just saw the new Bourne movie and that one would have been great to stick an advertisement before it, or there is a new western coming out 3:10 to Yuma that looks pretty good (actually pretty much any Russel Crowe movie that's in production or coming out would be good - American Gangster, Body of Lies, etc.) I've heard he's a jerk but his movies might be a great place to stick some ads. Just because we advertise there doesn't mean we endorse. My state's primary isn't until May. Maybe this effort should go to the early states.

I put a call into the sales rep and hopefully will hear back from them soon. I'll let you know. The info will be good only for Oregon but it should give a good idea of what the prices are. It might be best to focus on early primary states.

Wow, imagine if we plastered Ron Paul ads across the country during the biggest blockbusters....what a great way to hit a different demographic, the 'trying to escape real life' crowd. They'd be impressed. I love your idea.

the still is not bad but it would be great if we could get some 30/60 second ads in there... there's some solid stuff out there. the longer avaroth videos are very powerful IMO but probably a little long. is it possible to get a list of independent theaters, maybe some owners can be convinced into supporting the revolution...

I saw the Bourne Ultimatium last night, and 2 or 3 of the previews were for movies that would have been great for a RP message.

This one might push the neo-con objective more than RP though...

Unfortunately, I think this idea might have just died. They don't allow any political advertising in their theaters.

Maybe independent movie houses would accept politcal advertising. Maybe that is the route to go.

Could someone hit up moneybags Manilow to put up the cash to get Ron Paul signs/supporters in some movies? That'd be a way to circumvent those rules listed.
