...and pushed it back into enemy territory.

Thanks to the work started in Washington, Alaska, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Colorado, Montana, and elsewhere, Ron Paul Republicans in Texas were well-prepared to go into our conventions and dominate the neocons.

We don't have anything like final numbers yet due to the sheer volume of data but all indications are that we quite possibly took control. We passed all of our resolutions multiple places around the state. In many cases Ron Paul people were alone in the room, introduced the resolutions anyway, then argued them successfully to passing votes. Huckabee people voted with us all over the place. Now that he's out, we know who we will be canvassing. By name and address.

We had an amazing amount of success due to an amazing amount of dedication from our people. I hope other states get this message and carry it forward.

Below is a mail I just sent to our people due to the few that still don't get it, it includes a link to the resolutions we used for those interested.

Subject: McCain does NOT have the nomination.

I hear some of you are discouraged even now. Turn off your
televisions. The media lies, people die. How many of you knew the
convention process existed 3 months ago? Why do you think the media is
going to tell you the truth all about it now?

John McCain does not have the nomination locked up, and in fact the
way things have played out is possibly in the worst shape he's ever
been on the delegate front. Many of the Huckabee people are not going
to vote for him. In our conventions last night, the no-confidence-in-
McCain resolution passed unanimously in many rooms where we were not
the majority. Those people are with us now, as long as we get them
there. You have their names and noticed how they voted on core issues
-- that is your new canvass list! Go win them as supporters, and keep
them in the fight with us!

We don't need a bunch of candidates at St. Paul to keep going. We
need a bunch of delegates there to keep going. Many of them were
never bound in the first place, and many of the rest are now released
and mad. The floor is going to be McCain-vs-everybody, and his
support is just not there in even the people on the ground that are
saying they'll vote for him. Remember what we told you about Reagan's
Raiders, and get used to the phrase Paul's Patriots. (I'm tired of
them having that word, I want it back.) If you think that's a fairy
tale then WAKE UP and look at what we did in Texas last night!

HERE is how we could have lost it all last night, and ended the race
in favor of McCain -- if you guys had not gone out, across the state,
and done the work. That's it. If we got killed in the delegate
process, it would send the message that we can't do it even in Texas,
and other states that still need to vote would have a very hard time
keeping their people going. Other states gave us a fair amount of
momentum, but to me it really came down to us, here. Operation Come
and Take It. Would Texas keep it going and make it even stronger, or
would it fizzle here?

I need not have worried. Phase 2 of Operation Come and Take It was a
resounding success. You guys responded, and I think last night may go
down as the shot heard round the world of this Revolution. We still
won't have final numbers for a while but there's no question we did
something the rest of the country has got to hear about. The media
isn't going to tell them any more than they told you, and we need
those people out repeating our successes and expanding on them. We
need them to be delegates in their own areas. Now. Point them to the
resolutions we passed, and the strength with which we passed them --
to me, these resolutions serve as a great metric on how well we are
doing in delegate strength. If we keep passing our resolutions, we
are staying the majority. It's like the final numbers on the primary
vote. Show others the resolutions if you want to encourage them; you
can find them here:

Keep your eyes on the prize. We are after the national delegation and
the party platform, nothing less. We had major success on that front
last night, but it only continues if we keep going. We have 7 months
until the national convention. We don't need all your time until
then, and we probably need less than we've needed so far, but when we
call we need you to be there. All the way to the end.

PS -- If you have signs out in your neighborhood please collect them
ASAP, they won't likely last today. We want them so we can use them
later.

Texas,

I love you all!

Don't back down. Keep on taking every delegate position you can get, and pass every resolution that takes back our country to the Constitution.

Keep on changing the rules and you can to stop the insanity.

Ex Texan from Arlington, now living in PX.

Keep on trucking for Dr. Paul.
