I heard my dad on the phone talking about how Sean Penn is a traitor. I know this had to have come directly from Fox News itself because sadly my dad actually watches Fox everyday. All I know is that Sean is going to "enemy" countries and talking with the leaders.

Yeah...whats wrong with that? How does that make him a traitor? In my eyes it makes him a patriot because it's broken communication between leaders and citizens that lead to wars. What's your take on this?

I think Ron Paul's philosophy of talking with people and trading with people is much more helpful than talking to nobody at all. Our government thinks it's so special to make it's own special "club" and only let countries that help our agenda inside, while attacking other countries that defy it. The only people that get hurt during this game is citizens from both sides. It has to stop.

OT: It really amazes me how much power the media has over everyone. I always question their spoon fed information and research important issues on my own. Sadly, I always find the real information contradicts what the media reports. How can anyone take a news outlet seriously that drools over every stupid Paris Hilton story?

I cant stand Sean Penn, mostly because he is a self important arse who really thinks we care about his opinions. I loved him as spicolli (is that right?) though!

I don't like Sean Penn either.. I have a buddy who runs with the stars and they are mostly the same, bleeding heart socialists who have no regard for the constitution because they have their millions keep them warm, so they can feel warm fuzzy while you get foot with the bill.

Yea, Sean is alright although I don't know much about him. But anyone who the Mainstream media tries to ridicule and smear is usually a good guy, ie Ron Paul.:D

I do not agree with Penn's politics either, but he has a RIGHT to travel where he will.

That's not a half bad rule. Have you seen "This Movie is Not Yet Rated"? Pretty good.

that's not saying much :D

or perhaps it is. If Matt Stone or Trey Parker decide to wear pretty pink panties, you will likely follow them in suit?!

i have not been able to go to any other countries to do anything useful, so i am glad he is doing so. no one should object unless they can explain what they are doing that is better.

I don't know, Sean Penn, reminds me of a Jane Fonda wannabe. And that ain't good.

I wonder if Fox News hates him because he believes every member of the Bush administration should be in prison. Makes me like him on that issue.

Sean said, 'Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfield, Rove, et al, should all be in fucking jail.'

That's worth a merit badge in my book.

I have always despised Sean Penn.

However, when I saw the clip of him in "How to Make an Angry American", I gained some respect for him.

It may have just been excellent acting/posturing on his part, but when (speaking about Cheney, Bush, etc.) he said that "they need to be in f***ing jail" and also he was talking about our servicemen and women getting killed, there seemed to be some honest emotion there and I found myself reluctantly agreeing with him and also respecting him for saying it.

If you haven't seen the video:

Hehe looks like the previous two posters agree with me =)

It's only worth a merit badge in my book if he also bashes the Democrats in Congress who are selling us down the river, bet he wouldn't do that! Hypocrite.
I can't stand these one sided socialist idiots.

Sean Penn is an actor...just like Ronald Reagan.

Republicans should like all actors because they are just like Ronald Reagan.

Go Fred! Send them all to gitmo!

oops, wrong forum ;)

It's not the job of Hollywood actors to go speak to anti-American dictators. He doesn't speak for me or anyone else. The people we elect can speak for us, he can't. And the fact that he looks up to these people that hate our country should tell you that he is not patriotic in the least.

Exactly... You hate Bush, He hates Bush - you guys are friends....! NOT!

Sean Penn, and most of these rich elites see thru a different prism than 'Regular folk". They have their millions. Ask Sean Penn if he is willing to give up all of his millions to help people. See, he rags on the government to "take care of it, and become socialists.." yet he knows that by 'getting on the government' that SAME government will tax the shit out of you and I so that his views can be realized. He is uneffected because of his millions. See, his beliefs are great for him because it absolves him of ANY responsibility cause he will not "part" with his money, he wants YOU to part with yours.

Sean is a cook.

i didn't like sean penn all that much til i saw mystic river directed by clint eastwood. hes a good actor but a terrible director (can't remember the movie but the ending was horrible that he directed)

im not sure what this has to do with ron paul but maybe we could mass email sean penn (after finding out the real story on this) and get a celebrity endorsement? or do enough people hate sean penn that his endorsement would only hurt us

A Sean Penn endorsement would turn many "conservative" fence-sitters away from Ron Paul.

wow... i cant believe celebrities have so much in influence on us... i know someone who won't watch any movie or anything involved with a company who hires this certain celebrity, i can't remember who... because he cheated on his wife. I mean come on why in the hell do we care what these people do in their personal lives, and why do we let them direct our personal lives and what we do? sheeple jeez :)
