McCain has cancer, a heart condition and is not in the greatest of health otherwise. In contrast, Dr. Paul eats healthy and exercises every day.

We have 6 months till the convention - a lot can happen in that time.

Committed delegates have to vote according to the POPULAR VOTE for 1, 2 or 3 rounds - depending on the state.

McCain has something like 570 (700+ after tonight?) committed delegates. The rest are uncommitted and can vote however they like. Some of them are our supporters. Probably not that many, but we can try to contact them and win them over.

We can influence and probably change the party platform and the rules.

McCain used the promise to get public funding if he couldn't pay it off as a guarantee against a loan, and then got on the ballot in 2 states on that basis. He wants out, the FEC committee can't rule on his request that violates McCain-Feingold as they don't have enough committee members and Congress (dem side) is holding up approving more. They are political assignments. Public funding would limit him to 54 Million for the entire primary season and he's already spent 49 million. That's less than 1 million a month between now and the convention that he has to legally spend. Howard Dean is making a stink about this.

In building a general movement, going for the win full force - winning the general election as a goal will get us a lot more supporters in the long run.

McCain has done well in blue states and winner take all states. There are basically red states left and the last winner take all state was VT - last night.
