okay, forget the likelihood of it actually happening
let's just assume you picked up the paper and this was the story (it already happened)
MCCAIN chooses Ron Paul as Sec of Treasury
____________________________________
John McCain announced today that he wants the Ron Paul vision of the American economy to come to fruition.
All of RP's vision will be supported by the GOP
___________
so would you vote for mccain if this were the true story?

Hell no. Paul could be the V.P. and I wouldn't vote McCain.

Nope. Guy's still ineligible, incompetent and insane. I will always consider voting for such as he unConstitutional.

Nope.
Nope because it would be only to get votes and then he'd trash Ron Paul.
Opportunists can't be trusted. They stand for nothing and will fall for anything.

No. Here's why - Ron Paul wouldn't accept a position in an administration that he disagrees with. If he ended up doing so, I would know that something is wrong.

In the highly unlikely case that McCain chooses Ron Paul for this position and Ron Paul accepts, yes I would end up voting for McCain. But, I don't think it will matter the Democrats have this election in the bag and both of them seem hell bent on destroying what little free enterprise America has left surely that applies to Juan Pablo McCain as well.

I would never vote for McWar even if he picked Jesus as his running mate. Ron Paul woud refuse any such partnership. At the debates you can see that Dr. Paul sees McCain for the mad old turtle that he truly is.

McCain could name Egg Nog as his VP and I still wouldn't vote for him.

wow... look out alex jones... you got some conspiracy competition...
1st: would never work for the GOP because i like my immorality out in the open - not in rest stops or back halls of congress with congressional pages
2nd: my purpose is to see what others think - hence a question...
3rd: i am curious to see if people want to win the war for freedom one inch at a time or in one "hail mary" effort - there are pros & cons to both efforts
oh, and ron paul rebel, you & I keep crossing swords but as much as I respect your right to counter my speech with yours, I don't plan to change based on your simplistic, relflexive quips.
feel free to jump in and comment back with reasoned & rational replies or, please, stop just negating everything I post with "no, not me" like a democrat on AOL...
it makes the electrons sad...

obviously the question is a hypothetical. It doesn't really help us in any way.
but, the problem is that being Secretary of Treasury doesn't really give him the power to make change. McCain will still want another Trillion dollars for war, which means even if Ron Paul was given the authority to eliminate the IRS and strip the power of the FED, he couldn't do it anyway because the spending wouldn't stop. It would be a pointless position. He'd go to work every day and have his hands tied. (and this is assuming that there wasn't some other motive for the appointment which would probably be the case)

I would never vote for McCain. Period.
Hell no.
McCain could say he'd appoint Ron Paul to be king, and I still wouldn't vote for his Manchurian ass.
