Why couldn't he (or someone else) run in 2012?

It's hard to take on an incumbent...

So, it is hard to make a Congressman from Texas President when the near entirety of the media is against him, and that hasn't stopped us.

I'll be ready to go again in 2011. He'll only be 3 years older. Though I don't think Ron would run again if we abandon him. I see too many people bolting for failed 3rd parties rather than do the harder thing and go to these GOP meetings and take over the party.

It's pretty selfish of us to expect him to go through all this again next cycle. I have faith that somebody else will emerge to be our candidate in 2012.

2300*500,000= $1,150,000,000, in other words more than 1 Billion dollars WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as great as this would be, I don't think it is very realistic. First, the American people have proven that they lack the discipline to save. Second, it wouldn't be an easy task to get 500,000 people to donate anything, more less $2300. Even Ron Paul's website only shows about 62,000 donors this quarter. Many people are pseudo supporters. They got all caught up in the money bomb and how "cool" it was to support the underdog but many of them are disenfranchised and are not TRULY committed to the end goal.

It is much easier to set up a fund that can gain interest over time and get less than half the number of supporters (200,000) to donate only $30 per month over a period of time.

5% interest
40 months
= $1,014,718,103.64

This accomplishes the same goal, requires less than half the people, only asks them to donate $30 per month, and still raises 1 billion.

The campaign has 300,000 donors overall.

how many that donated $2300?

the last Money Bomb when we raised about 1 million for Ron Paul, how many donated... even $1?

My point is that many of those people have fallen away. It is easier to get fewer people to donate small amounts of money on a regular basis.

Why doesn't Ron Paul run for the Senate?
