While reading how 73% of America is against wiretapping, I thought of a crazy idea.

What if we passed a law that wiretapped all federal politicians office & home phones & electronic communications. The rational is simple, we need to verify:
- federal politicians are not being influenced by terrorists
- federal politicians are not corrupt
- federal politicians are not engaging in otherwise illegal activities

The CIA can publish the records and transcripts once a month to the public. It would be nice to treat them as guilty until proven innocent.

You embarrass us all.

How did you ever qualify as one of us?

Really, tell us the honest truth: what part of this idea is 'crazy'?

It is such an exquisite concept that it doesn't even need some
convoluted explanation or conspiratorial support.

Get yourself a new tin foil hat and recant fee male hairies.

And let us know when the taps have been turned on.
Post them to YouTube, maybe?

Who said we were all nuts?
BTW, rather than get the guv to do it, best we do it the libertarian way:
low-level audio signals can be deciphered in much the same way
as the new wifi multipath algorithms work. (Kinda know about this:cool: )
so tapping the goons doesn't even require going onto their property.

If even a small sample of what the 'upper crust' discusses ever made it into
webspace they would stand no chance in public scrutiny.

cheerio

How did you ever qualify as one of us?
Since when do you have to qualify as a supporter?

there isn't a 'libertarian way' to wiretap...
