I ran across this article and think it has merit.

At least read and consider that the march maybe should be on Minnesota rather than Washington.

Ron Paul Scrap the DC March.

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware
I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind
I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side
It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away
We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, now, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

I actually really like this Idea, but there is no reason we can't do this after the washington march, as long as people know about it way far in advance they'll be able to plan for it.

Washington march is looking to be in june? maybe probably?

and this is september 1st - 4th.

That gives us 2-3 months after the washington march to save up/prepare/whatever.

This is plenty of time especially if everyone knows about it ahead of time.

I approve.

Here's Devvy Kidd saying basically the same thing. I have to agree, it would be a much more effective use of resources to rally at the convention.
If there's a good turnout for a DC march, it will be ignored. Even the massive anti-war march in April 2002 was completely ignored. It didn't so much as register a blip on the national news.
Conversely, if there is a weak turnout, the media may latch on to that to make the movement look pathetic.
Not that I don't think it wouldn't help spread the word about Dr. Paul, I just think there are plenty of other oppurtunities to do that in DC already. Rolling Thunder being one of those. Smaller groups distributing info at these rallies would be more effective, in my opinion. Save the mass rally for the convention.
