First off, I want to know why Kentucky was one of the two "chump states" selected to receive grants to impose the Real ID. Both Kentucky and New Hampshire were offered grants to test the Real ID. I believe New Hampshire declined.http://www.elite-otaku.net/wordpress/wp-images/smilies/icon_wtf.gif

Here is a KY Update

According to the Bill status line: 866-840-2835
SC111 was sent to city state local government committee and nothing happened.
Hr 208 was sent to appropriations committee and nothing happened.

These don't carry over from previous sessions and need to be reintroduced or updated for being the first test state for the first phase of the National ID.

We are being urged to contact Kathy Stein and Senator Perry and ask them to reintroduce these resolutions or something current for this issue.
Ask for the status of our involvement with the Real ID, and what is being done to prevent invasion of privacy, and protection of personal information from identity theft.

Start spreading the word locally, and verbally.
That will get the old rumor mill working, and people talking.

Once that's in motion, killing it is MUCH easier.

Of all the states addicted to Federal government handouts, Kentucky is among the worst.

Call Speaker of the House Jody Richards and Senate President David Williams at (502) 564-8100.

But that will all stop when we get casinos approved and the money starts rolling in from them. ;)
