View Full Version : Ron Paul vs. Duncan Hunter.
Can someone put in precise words why I should vote for Ron Paul instead of Duncan Hunter?
I know why, because I have not clue who the "f" Duncan Hunter is but I know Ron Paul and have heard of him back when no one else has.
But can someone specifically outline why I shouldn't bother with him?

Duncan Hunter mentions his son serving in Iraq so much you'd think his son was running for President. Hunter has no campaign support and that was evident by the Iowa Straw Poll. The guy will continue the failed policy in Iraq.

There is a clear difference in their foreign policy also DH seems to think a fence is the "cure all" for the illegal immigration problem. Other than these two issues(on the surface w/o investigating DH further) I like DH.

Oh and I think DH supports the Patriot Act also.

Duncan Hunter sponsored the Military Commissions Act. You know, the legislation that stripped habeas corpus from you.

Voted to make the PATRIOT Act Permanent.
Voted to allow electronic surveillance without a warrant.
Thinks preemptively nuking Iran is a good idea
Thinks the Iraq War was worth it, and wants no timeline for withdrawal.
Wants to attack Iran.
Some things to think about.

How about being bought out by the Military Industrial complex
Evidence:
You would be 100% correct.

Excerpt: "Congress has spent $63 million dollars in an effort spearheaded by Duncan Hunter to build a plane that the Pentagon does not want and does not think will work."

I thought he was a pretty good conservative until I read this and a few other posts:mad:
He is also against many personal freedom issues such as internet gambling.

That sounds a lot like "No one knows who Ron Paul is, that crazy kook that said we deserved 9/11. He ain't gonna win."

How does anyone in their right mind think this is a good idea?

I'm just repeating what the interwebz tells me!
It had to do with nuking them if they didn't dismantle their centrifuges or something? I forget. Anyone who wants to nuke anyone who has not attacked us is not cool in my book.

I think Dr Paul could take him. He would just have to keep moving around and pretty soon the clogged arteries of Dunkin' The Hunter will not provide enough oxygen for his bloated and animated political carcass.. Then, when he is boggled the Doctor can hit him with a high flying clothesline from the top rope, follow it up with an elbow drop and hook the leg for a solid three count.
Then it's Romney and Paul in a steel cage match for dominance of the Republican Party. Mitt "The Glove" Romney is well know for bringing foreign objects into the ring and bribing the refs to make bad calls.. But Paul is lightning fast on his feet and his grappling skills far outpace the brute force hair and teeth strategy of his opponent.
Then it's on to The US Tag Team Heavyweight Championship.

Sorry, I am not in the mood for wrestling allegories. I honestly don't know what to tell people if they ask me why dump Hunter and vote Paul.

Dude, they've named like three or four excellent reasons. He supports the Patriot Act, supports the suspension of the writ of habeus corpus, and he won't take preemptively nuking a nation that is no threat to the U.S. off the table as a possible option.
The thread is only 2 pages, they're not that hard to find.

Duncan Hunter is deeply involved with weapons manufacturers and lobbyists for the industry. That alone would scare anyone off that dislikes corruption.
