Excerpt from notice:

"The reason for this protest is that Bush will be in Canada meeting with their leader and Mexico's leader and try to push the North American Union. The Canadians will be protesting by the 10's of thousands. The people in our country have not woke up."

I've been hearing a lot about this recently. There is a big push right now to force through the NA Union. I hope all Iowa Meetup group members attend this, in addition to anyone else in the vicinity.

I dont know how to get a hold of the individual meetups?????? It seems like this might be a pretty important event to have RP people all over the place, should we send this to headquarters? Do they have the numbers for the meetups? I am clueless about how this campaign is running,, sorry

Dave,

Call the Campaign! 703-248-9115

Ask them for the best way to get ahold of the Iowa Coordinator (Joe Seehusen)
They are friendly people, I am sure they can get you in touch with the right people.

this is where i have to say... please please don't mix the minutemen and the ron paul message. really though, the bad press over 9/11 truth is one thing... the minutemen are another.

ron paul's biggest setback right now is the racism myth. racism is also the card up obama's sleeve. many obama supporters should be on our side but are blinded by the collective white guilt programmed into them since birth. they may not agree w/ him on anything, but have this jfk sort of illusion in their minds... they want to vote for the first "black" president... racism, just backwards.

so please, just consider this. i'm all for showing our presence at every opportunity, but to work specificially with minutemen or something like that... against the NAU, is not that different from 'truther' or legalize it crowds in the media.

No, don't bother HQ. They have their hands full.

This would be very good for RP if his supporters got on this wagon.. This is about America.. And it's not a conspiracy. Lou Dobbs has mentioned this many many times.. Militias are joined together all over the country... This could spread like wild fire thru their organization just from talks and emails to other militia members and organizations... Trust me when I say that alot of militia members have not heard about RP of yet... This would be very good to get out...

Dave, are you a member of a Meetup Group? Here is how you can contact the Meetups. http://ronpaul.meetup.com/about/
Just locate the ones in Iowa and click on them. If you're not a member of a Meetup Group yet, you'll have to sign up with one, I believe, to be able to send a Meetup group organizer an email through the Meetup facility. It's really easy.

Dave is saying that email address does not work.

As far as contacting HQ. I have called them several times to get information and they have always answered promptly and answered my questions.

If Dave wants to call them to see about getting IMMEDIATE contact information on the Iowa campaign people, I see NO problem with that. It is not wasting their time. It is working for the campaign and I think the people at the HQ would agree.

Dave, just call HQ. It will be fast and easy and get you the best relevant information. (703-248-9115)

Yea, immigration is a touchy point for me. On these points, I made this post in a previous thread:

i don't disagree with some improvements to our present transportation system, but having the people help subsidize it only to hand the keys over to a foreign-based, american owned front corporation/excuse to sub-contract to all your buddies is just wrong... simple as that. Paying people cut-rate for the land you'll use and then making billions reseling that land as highway access, charging out the eye rates to big developers is even worse.

but i'm one of those folks you'd mistakenly accuse of being an enemy agent trying to subvert the ron paul movement, maybe a democratic liberal or a neo-con of some shape or form, because I believe in the right of people to travel freely without having to show papers or give account to some government representative for doing so. My rights to freely associate, in my opinnion, extend as far two and a half hours west of me as they do to the North or East... and your right to feel safe from whatever the fear is, does not trump my own. That is because I believe in Freedom, Liberty, all the things so commonly brought out only for the sake of convenience.

The Rio might be the U.S. border, but most importantly it is our border... and those who oppose government infrigement on the rights of property owners, square building a fence on those people's property and destroying the premium of living next to the water (everything won't be so bad forever), square militarist policing of some abstract concept some arbitrary line with the rights of those property owners.

Round them up, and send them back home. :) The last thing we need are people protesting for socialism which they already have many times before. Makes me wanna puke, crying for government to take care of them. They should know better than that, but a 5th grade education doesn't go far these days. They should rise up against their own government and take the power back. I'll send them money to help too.
