View Full Version : A Nader-Paul Ticket?

THE MEDIA IS THE MESSAGE, and right now it is a quiet voice that is not being heard by voters at the primaries. RP is coming in 4th in 3 man races--that is the ugly truth.

Ralph Nader has just announced his candidacy. He is anti-corporation, pro-consumer, and anti-war. What do think of a Nader-Paul ticket? Given that RP is spending most of his time trying to retain his congressional seat, RP could use the $6 million as incentive for Nader to sell the RP revolution. I think it could work. Ralph Nader is a better communicator and can get key players on side that will get Ron's message heard on mainstream media.

If this revolution was just about Ron Paul, this idea would be easily dismissed for selfish reasons. However, an opportunity has presented itself and I believe warrants serious discussion by the nucleus of the Ron Paul Revolution. Thus far, this has been an informational campaign.

Unless RP can convince McCain to make him his running mate (doubtful), this candidacy must go the third party route to become a legitimate Presidential campaign.

RP has already stated many times that the Republican Party has lost its way. What better way to emphasize that point by running for President as leader for the Republican Revolutionary Party? (with or without Nader)

People have heard, but they have not listened. America continues on its road to tyranny. This revolution will continue with or without RP. For now, the revolution is non-violent. If this campaign fails, that will change.

No thank you.

Despite his not being part of the establishment when it comes to politics, Nader is a pretty hard-core socialist and I don't see him as wanting to

1) get rid of the Federal Reserve System
2) repeal the income tax and replace it with nothing
3) shrink the size of government until its spending fits what is currently collected after doing 1 and 2

4) repealing Federal restrictions on gun ownership

5) repealing vast amounts of Federal regulations on businesses.

Unless Nader does a 180o turn around in his economic policy he is totally against what Ron Paul stands for.

Thanks for your opinion though :)

At this juncture a Paul/Huckabee ticket would cause the GOP and McWar to (&^% a brick.

No I am no Huck fan, but I will take Paul in the WH any way I can get him there. This would be a very viable ticket. At least Huck is willing to get rid of the IRS, I suspect that is why the media dumped him. But he has too much support now for the media to finish him off.

This would reconstitute the grassroot coupled with the Christian vote with a large side of the no McCain vote. A WINNER!

Paul said he will not run as a 3rd party canidate.
Ron Paul sticks by his word. Just look at his voting record.

Not that it matters if he'd run 3rd party... Nadar is for big gov't and regulations... Just because they aren't part of the "establishment" doesn't mean they'll do good for the country *stares at Kucinich supporters*

But yeah, I agree with you, I just want him in the White House.

The OP is an ops runner. This is a new set of gambits. Trash his ass every chance you get. He does not deserve cogent debate. That is the pretense he will use to keep shuffling his palette of tripe onto the forum as distractions and misdirection.

Dr. Paul has been working on getting Nader to come out against the Fed for a while and it is possible (Nader correctly sees it as corporate special interest oriented).

Nader is not only pro-peace, but pro-privacy, pro-civil liberties, and against the drug war and corporate welfare but willing to work with us on coalitions. His de facto campaign manager last time later ran for Senate on a joint Green-Libertarian-Progressive ticket.

I'm not sure that Nader would be much of an asset even if we could get both men to agree sufficiently to share a ticket. I think, in fact, he's so not an asset that we're much better off without him.

Hey, if Nadar wants to be an ally that's great.

What about his position on the 2nd amendment?

nader has said himself that he wants to put an end the republic and institute a full on democracy.

in case you dont know we arent a democracy our founding fathers dispised democracies cause its just mob rule where 51 percent of the people can vote to do whatever they want even if it means infringing on others liberties.

nader will not get my vote and im sure paul wouldnt consider running with him.
