Does the Protect America Act only target overseas?

Reading through the text of the bill it seems that the target for the surveillance is overseas.

Am I wrong? If so I would like someone to show the source.

Yeah, it is officially to spy on terrorists across the seas, just like the PATRIOT act.

yes but I believe the problem with it is private companies are contracted out. When the administration was asked about potential spying on US citizens by these companies they said "well, they seem to be good intentioned" :rolleyes:

so if they "accidentally" spy on you, you can't do shit about it....cute huh?

I forget if all these points are in that one bill but:

The whole rationale for "needing" a new law is that globalization erases domestic/foreign boundaries.
Some of the argument is not that they cannot do something but that they want to be able to do it without a warrant.
Retroactive lawsuit immunity for past violations=ex post facto law.
