The Austin, Texas rally was a great success!! It started it with several bands, headlined by Jimmie Vaughan. Dr. Paul gave a great speech, the crowd was huge, and there was a banner being flown overhead the entire time. Dr. Paul spent a long time signing autographs afterwards as well.

The Revolution is alive and well!!

Is this the same rally that the Houston Chronicle referred to as "Ron Paul spoke to a small group of supporters..."?

Hou Chronic is only suitable for parakeets.

Holy smokes! That crowd looks like it goes on forever. Great pics. I'm a little concerned with the link you provided though. Snipers LLP? Not to derail the positiveness of the rally, but what's THAT about ?

Oops, the Houston Chronicle said Ron Paul spoke to a small group of reporters before the rally, not a small group of supporters at the rally.

My mistake.

The rally was AMAZING! Gorgeous weather, huge turnout, and wonderful speech by Dr. Paul. What with all the dancing to Jimmie Vaughn's fabulous blues music, and cheering and sign waving, everyone was really psyched.

I got interviewed by two television stations and one newspaper there. Don't know why they chose me. Could've been because I was having such a good time (one tv reporter mentioned that), but I got in some great points in answer to their questions. Who knows whether they'll print or show anything good, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

When Dr. Paul arrived at the UT rally, his van was accompanied by a line of Harley Davidson riders. It was like this really cool procession of rumbling, rockin' Paul bikers.

So inspiring!!!!

:pI saw that live tv online yesterday! You all looked so glorious and ecstatic. I surely felt a ripple of effect coming from you guys!

:rolleyes:But one minor problem for me. I could not hear or understand one word from Ron Paul but he seemed to make an excellent speech. I'm deaf but if one of you can please reply and repeat what key points did he say? then that would be helpful! There are other Deaf RP supporters here who would like to know too...

I hope he did present about NAFTA highway, NAU, that's big thing in Texas...

It was even hard for attendees to hear since there was a low flying plane circling around the sky pulling a Ron Paul rEVOLution banner. What a great idea, only it should have stopped during Paul's speech.

Here's a video of the speech that someone posted on Ron Paul Forums. He didn't talk specifically about NAFTA and the NAU, but what he did speak about was very powerful!

I apologize, those links don't seem to be working. Anyone have a working video link for the Ron Paul rally in Austin yesterday?

I was watching it from my computer a long with about 200 people. The person who was filming it was far away from him and was using the mic from his camera. (I think the guy worked for the local Fox station)... anyway, the Ron Paul Air Corps made it kind of heard for us to hear for a while :p

Don't worry, it was hard for a lot of people to hear online anyway because of the airplane with the Ron Paul sign above (the camera mic was picking up the engine). I don't remember anything about NAFTA highway, but I definitely wasn't listening closely to the whole thing.... so it could have been in there, I don't know.

The thing I remembered is when he said people running for congress and such ask him how he has so much internet/grassroots support and how they can get that. :p

Oh yah, I remember we (people watching it from our computers) heard a low rumbling noise and the crowd all ran to the side of the place... we were like "what the"? It sounded like big jets flying above or something, lol

I watched 2 streams at the same time, myfox and rpradio. (Audio from rpr )
Fox guy did rare angles only, and crowd looked much smaller, and sound was useless (wide range mic catching RPAirForce's action)
rpr's sound was great, and angle from the stage showed how big the crowd really was.

My Fox did a lousy job, but Ron Paul looked great.
No national coverage, as expected, No change here.
Move on
