Now, I have heard that Ron Paul and Reagan are very similar. However, I have also heard that Reagan and Paul parted ways after Reagan actually became president because Paul didn't like some of the choices Reagan made after he was president.

Is this true? Did Reagan raise taxes or spending? Or what was the issue causing Paul to disagree with some of Reagan's choices?

Maybe it isn't true at all. Let me know!

(I have a friend that is a big Reagan fan and I am trying to convince him that Paul is even better then Reagan, so i need some things they disagreed about.)

I could go on and on about Reagan but it's better if you read free market anarchist Murray Rothbard's analysis of Reagan. Incidentally, Rothbard was a friend of Ron Paul.

You can also google search Ron Paul's resignation letter to the Republican Party. It starts with Dear Frank. Frank being Frank Fahrenkopf (sp?) then chairman of the RP and later to be on the presidential debate commission. In the letter Ron Paul tears the Republican Party and Reagan a new one.
