Brasil Branco

Hey guys, I'm a Brazilian who's lived in the US, Austria, and currently study in England! If it wasn't for YouTube, I would have never have heard about Ron Paul and his beliefs (Though, I question many of his- like his view on the United Nations (Not just the security council)). Anyway, I did my part and sent a complaint to the BBC. As I was getting all my coverage on the elections from there- I didn't get a chance to learn about Dr. Paul.
My email:
Dear sir,
I am complaining about your lack of mention of Republican candidate Ron
Paul who doesn't even have a profile page for the US Elections. As
someone who obtained all his information about the US Elections from
this website, I was shocked to find such an attractive candidate from
the Republicans, as your website failed to mention him. When I learned
of his message and political standings- he became the one candidate that
stood out from the rest- one who is well-read and of all things, honest.
I think this is a case of media bias- where Ron Paul does not have a
chance to become recognizable due to the fact that he is rarely
mentioned. Regardless, he has a massive following in alternative media
such as social websites and the blogosphere, one which was not initiated
by himself, such as Howard Dean in 2004, but genuinely by his strong
message.
I ask of you, to cover Ron Paul at least in an article, to give British
readers- and your strong following of international readers, an
opportunity to be introduced to this intriguing and honest candidate,
otherwise- you are essentially skewing the 2008 Presidential elections.
Thank you in advance,
Their reply:
Dear Mr ....,
Thank you for your email. While we have so far not covered Mr Paul's
campaign in depth we have mentioned him and will certainly continue to
report his activities, especially if or when he emerges as a contender
with a real chance of doing well.
We do have finite resources to devote to US election coverage but please
be assured we are aiming to have as complete and balanced a coverage as
we can. For your information we have done the following stories in which
Mr Paul figures, admittedly not prominently but he has certainly not
been overlooked.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6266690.stm

Good luck, not much I can do being abroad, but I will be rooting for Mr. Paul from the sidelines.
