No prompting is needed to place liberty activists and liberals on the same side, and in the same rally, when its goal is the impeachment of the current anti-Constitutional president. What did prompt this event was a bill at the New Hampshire State House which, if passed, would call for the impeachment of Mr. Bush. This was a liberal-led event, but I counted at least six libertarian activists in the audience. Note the Ron Paul supporters in attendance...

At this point, I think the Republican Party is really close to losing its small l libertarian portion. If the democrats started running fiscally conservative pro-gun social liberals, I'm sure that loads of us would vote for them. If they were smart, they'd start trying to pick off the disenchanted 25% of the party, but I don't think that the left wing socialists of their party would want us...

Agreed, 100%! It was very hard for me to decide between staying with the GOP and helping out the Republican Liberty Caucus, or switching back to the Dems and joining up with the Democratic Freedom Caucus. I eventually decided on the former, since I learned that the DFC endorsed Bill Richardson for POTUS (gag!), but I think we oghtta strongly consider taking over BOTH main parties.

Maybe someday, we'll get to the point where both parties are more or less principled small-government folks, and the only difference will be that the Democrats place a bit more emphasis on personal freedoms, while the Republicans focus ever-so-slightly more on economic liberty. Then, instead of both parties being controlled by hardcore statists of whichever stripe, the only major decision burdening the voting public will be Left-Libertarianism Vs. Right-Libertarianism. At least, that's my dream! :D

his 19% approval rating truely goes hand in hand with how quickly
this rally sprang into being and why it pulls in the people it does!

Bush and Obama still the number one traitors to the Constitution because of NDAA military detention of US citizens without Sixth Amendment jury trial. Soldiers do not need to illegal orders to hold citizens under an unconstitutional law.
