They'll make sure it hits Spokane since it went 45-25 for Ron Paul in the caucuses.

No, let's hope it lands right smack down on Mccain's goofy dome.

No, let's hope it lands right smack down on Mccain's goofy dome.

The fact that he is now rumored to be sleeping with a lobbyist has already done that.

What a CRAZY night. A spy satellite is being shot down, the eclipese of the luner moon and a McCain scandle.

Any excuse for a space weapons test is a good one I suppose ;)

They are practicing.
It is a defense maneuver test to see if they can knock out enemy sats.

At least that's what it looks like.

I don't buy the story at all. I think they want to blow that thing up to prevent anyone from discovering any secrets from the wreckage. Who knows what kind of satellite it is.

There was an interesting NOVA episode recently that talked about an early manned Soviet spy satellite. This thing had a big ole camera that the operators could maneuver around in real time to look at whatever seemed interesting, and it was armed. The only armed space platform acknowledged to exist.

In the same time period, the US had a similar project called MOL, or Manned Orbital Laboratory. It's cover story was that it was an orbital research station, but it was in fact another manned spy satellite platform.
