Sucks that the Democrats are trying so hard to torpedo this guy. Hes the only one concerned about the constitution, even if I think he is misguided in what he gets out of it. Better to vote for a socialist who votes for socialism because of the constitution than someone who votes for socialism based on..well, communism.

He's not a "Ron Paul Republican," but he's a friend of the movement and he does care about the people.

He isn't part of the establishment which makes him an ally.

He's a socialist, honest or not. Why not work to elect a new libertarian-republican, or at least a somewhat conservative republican?

Hes a true Democrat. Democrats aren't libertarians or conservatives and we have to accep that. Kucinich is a friend of RP's and treated him better than any of the other presidential candidates. So he should get our support.

Ummm..because this is the democratic primary.

Dennis Kucinich has woken up to the Federal Reserve. He was one of only SIX congressmen to vote against the evil Homegrown Terrorism act. (Ron Paul spoke out against the act but he wasn't able to make back in time from campaigning to vote against it.)

Besides, this isn't an "either or" proposition. Considering Dennis Kucinich's district is heavily democratic (or else he would have lost a long time ago) it should be fairly easy to win the republican primary. (A "Ron Paul Republican" wouldn't stand a chance in the democratic primary there unless he really lied about his positions.) So support Dennis in his bid, and then if you wish have a Ron Paul republican win the republican primary as a failsafe. But even that is really a waste of resources. If anything Ron Paul republicans need to be positioning themselves to run against people like Nancy "I saw the torture tapes and kept quiet" Pelosi. Break out of the false left right paradigm. This is about freedom. And Dennis is closer to us on the freedom issue than a LOT of republicans.

it seems that the mainstream democrats are hoping
kucinich doesn't survive the primary. he is in an informal
dog house by their book of rules due to his presidential run.
if republicans and independents back him in the primary
even if they then vote for his opponent come november,
this could cause the democrats to sit up and take notice.
it would also deliver the message that kucinich's stance on
the issues had people NOTICING him well past his district!

Thanks for the link. I found this.

Also from her "issues" page (which has almost no issues on it.)

One great opportunity to grow our economy is to create a campaign to invite immigrants to come to Cleveland where homes are affordable and 130 ethnic communities already exist with churches, restaurants, grocery stores and community centers.

Dennis Kucinich isn't perfect, but the person is obviously worse.

Ohio's 10th district is a heavily democratic district, encompassing the mainly white blue collar neighborhoods (Old Brooklyn, West Park) on Cleveland's west side. It also includes blue collar traditionally Catholic suburbs like Parma, Garfield Hts, and Lakewood, as well as more upscale areas like Rocky River and Westlake. It contains lots of manufacturing plants including the Parma GM and Cleveland Ford Plants, the huge Mittal (LTV)Steel plant, and others.

The local paper and Cleveland's mayor have endorsed a popular Cleveland councilman, Joe Cimperman, who currently represents the downtown neighborhoods of Cleveland (part of Tubbs-Jones district). He is probably the most legitimate threat to Dennis in the last 10 years. (www.joecimperman.com)
Despite this, Dennis has an almost fanatical following among the blue-hairs and retirees, and probably remains the front-runner.

On the Republican side, there is a party hack, former Cuyahoga County Republican Party chairman Jim Trakas (www.jimtrakas.org), and a 28 year old guy with no political experience who's running on a pro-life born-again Christian story (www.jasonwerner.com). Werner's website says Kucinich has "communist values." As for Mr Werner, "His positions are clear: turn abortion clinics into memorials, re-establish the family as the center of society, decrease dependency on the federal government, maintain a strong military, create a more favorable environment for small businesses to prosper, and hold schools accountable for students’ academic progress. Mr. Werner gives thanks to Jesus Christ, as he became a Christian in May of 2000, and all of those whom have encouraged him to set his heart on things above, serve others, and exude a positive winning attitude." Mike Huckabee, anyone?

If he survives the primary, Dennis is a shoo-in against either "R" candidate in this district that went 58% for Kerry in 2004

I hope he loses, he is a socialist. I do not understand the love for him on this forum, people need to look at his other positions other than civil liberties THEN judge him. He is a wacko.

And he was considered a terrible mayor... he served two years as the mayor of Cleveland and narrowly escaped a recall election. Maybe Ohioans send him to DC just to get him out of the state.

I don't think I would still call him a socialist. Socialists wouldn't come out against the federal reserve. Regardless if he looses you will DEFINITELY get a socialist U.N. tool that WON'T respect civil liberties. I don't agree 100% with Dr. Paul either. But certainly he's the best thing running. Kucinich is the best thing running in his district and frankly one of the best congressmen we have. Yes I said that. He was one of only 6 congressmen to vote against the Homegrown Terrorism Act. Once all of our civil rights are gone our economic positions won't matter anymore.

not that he's being a total truther, however it seems he now has a tiger by the tail
http://www.jonesreport.com/article/02_08/200208_kucinich_trading.html for he has called for
an intense investigation concerning any insider trading on that day more than 7 years
ago that seems out of the ordinary... this story gives his perspective about his campaign!

How was he a bad mayor? He refused to sell Muni Light to CEI and he didn't give in to big business. We need more people with his integrity in Congress, it's impossible to have everyone to agree with us.

Kucinich is a socialist, and moreover, he is on the Democratic ballot. ALL RON PAUL VOTERS NEED TO VOTE ON THE REPUBLICAN BALLOT IN ORDER TO VOTE FOR RON PAUL! Kucinich will not be an option on the Republican ballot. Please stay on task. Vote Kucinich in November if you must. Vote Ron Paul on the 4th of March.
