Seems like we've been doing better than $100,000 an hour - and there are 6 hours left in the day. We just broke half a mil...

My guess is 1.15 Million.

I'm up for it. Come on people!

I've donated $100 so far today and will likely donate another $100 later since I just found out that I'm maxed on the Presidential campaign.

He's going to need 2.5 Mil +

Maybe less - he's frugal, but that's about what' he's spent on past campaigns.

If thats the case, why would he put a figure like $650k on his flash page as the goal?

I WAS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY WRONG.
I am stunned that this is raising the money it is. I'm very happy to see it.
I love being wrong like this.....
I had predicted 50k day.
Amazing...amazing...

He does that with the prez page too - picks a goal and then puts benchmarks on the thermometer that increment (normally) after they are passed. Expect them to put a new one up there. But it does give us something to work toward and seems more attainable than some huge number. We enjoy crossing those boundaries.

Where did you get that number? Also, I'm wondering where did Paul get THAT kind of money in the past. Some source for that would be great, thanks.

It was either opensecrets or the FEC database of donors/money raised. Been 2-3 weeks, but I was poking around those sites.

btw: that may be for both the primary and the General - I'm not sure how they report those numbers after the election.

I dont think so

tangent4ronpaul

Only if he looses - at least that's my understanding. He has to drop out of one race or the other before he can transfer funds from one campaign to the other.

I could only do $25 but I'm also doing another $75 to the Pres campaign tonight.

I think the motivation behind this ron-endorsed moneybomb will have people shooting for a million. We just need to encourage people to keep spreading the word about donating. We can easily keep this going for a few days by constantly plugging it. 4,840 donors so far (9:50 CST) today alone.

The congressional campaign is on central time, so right now it is 10:02 PM CT, there are 2 hours left before the daily total resets.
