I've searched a few times but I can't find any explanation from any source on why there are differences of more than 550 votes in each of these precincts. Has anybody here found out why there are huge disparities between the results released on election day and the results updated a few days later?

I believe that the results were faked in some manner, especially given the huge amounts of votes that were added into results. You usually do not count more ballot than there are, and you usually don't count them overwhelmingly for two candidates that only really have 1-15 votes.

Did these 2 precincts really stand out of the total data set or or did you just find these really fast on a quick look at a few? It makes a huge difference!

Even if just a couple - maybe there was fraud and they just couldn't "fix" these ones (or the local Meetups were really good!).

Do you use Diebold voting machines down there?

The corrected results look about right. If you look at the other precincts in Arlington Cty you'll see that it matches up. Those precincts are very urban areas with a lot of Gov't workers, so I'm not surprised it was that high for McCain. Although, I've never actually met a McCain supporter, but that's a whole different story.

Say what????

And yes, a lot of us Virginians have those wonderful, un-Virginia-Constitutional Diebold machines.

Hmmm....well Hume I can't see RP winning but it is an irregularity nonetheless and we should at least find out. Can someone move this thread to the VA forum so someone from the Fauquier County meetup will give us some input?

Ballston...I don't know where that is so I have no clue.

Yes Yes YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Go go go.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND THE QUESTIONS TO ASK.

If RP isn't pulling in the big numbers you KNOW something is afoot. Everyone is doing such an EXCELLENT job out there, stumping, canvassing, recruiting, precinct leading, sign waving, house painting eevun.

Never never never accept 5% here, 14 % there. Those numbers just aren't true and never will be.

The Revolution WILL be televised, damn it!

Winvote machines (I think that's what they were called) in my area. I think it's absolutely impossible that RP got 549 votes in HUME while McWar got 2 and Huck 0. That just isn't possible for THAT area (I'm near Hume, we border Fauquier County). No way. BUT, I wouldn't be surprised to find they had to "sort" through the votes and balance them out a bit so there was a temporary discrepancy shown. I'm convinced that RP votes are stolen everywhere possible by the machines all over the country.

Yuppers and that is where our focus should be heading. Protect our investments of time, money, blood, sweat and tears =======> make SURE your vote is counted!!!!

The very fact that Ron Paul does SOOOOOOO much better in caucuses than he does in primaries has convinced me that massive voter fraud abounds. I mean, how obvious can it get??

I believe the second results are correct (Hume and Ballston aren't large); But the original anomaly has not been addressed by the Virginia GOP as far as I know

Not that I'm aware, either. Dh has seen several RP signs in Hume (passes through daily on his way home from work) and it really wouldn't be hard for the Fauquier meet up to find out who in Hume voted for RP and see if the numbers match.
