What do you think Congressman Paul's chances are of taking first place in the Texas Primary? Also, is Texas a winner-take-all state & how many delegates are at stake?

2/3 of the state are black and hispanic, I truly doubt he will take Texas.

He ain't gunna take anything from the masses until he's viable and favourablely presented by the media!

Being sneaky is the only way Paul can win, so become a delegate and get your sneak on. I bet there's less than 5% on this forum who are delegates.

I expect only a small percentage of those will concern themselves with the G.O.P. side of the primary. Among those, Paul could do as well as any other--at least among those who don't have illegal relatives.

Texas has 140 delegates at stake. How well Texas' own Paul does depends entirely on how brilliant we get.

No, Texas is about 48% white that are non-hispanic, 12% black.
About half of the hispanics can't vote though... silly citizenship rules.

As of the 2005 US Census estimates, the racial distribution in Texas are as follows: 84.14% White; 12.09% African American or African; 3.62% Asian; 0.17% Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander; and 1.1% American Indian or Alaskan Native. Persons of Hispanic origin accounted for 35.31 percent of the population and may be of any race. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas#Race_and_ethnic_origins

Yeah, I understand that sometime they may choose to report as "whites" in belief that identifying them hispanic will pull them down.

That said, it probably would be more useful to look at demographics of Republicans voters.... maybe a exit poll from last election cycle?
