I know Nevada corporations are good, but that's about it.

Call your secretary of state and reserve a name.
Pick between LLC and S-Corp - C-Corp is for very large corporations.
Go LLC if you plan to stay small and have no stock.
You can switch to S-Corp later on if you grow.
Might want to consult an attorney/CPA to be sure btw...
Download/request your state startup forms. Call up your local courthouse and get ready to write a few filing checks.

If I had money to hire a lawyer... well I probably would be able to pay for my car insurance.

when i opened my business i used money i really wanted to spend on other things to pay a "damn lawyer" to set up the llc`s........now down the road in hindsight i`m glad i did.
if you`re setting up a business that will have any assetts or liabilities you`ll be money ahead to spend the bucks now.
