I made a small web app to caption pictures for us. No more simply typing captions here in the forum, you can caption the picture yourself :D

For example, this picture (original):
http://www.product-reviews.net/wp-content/userimages/2007/08/ron_paul-1.jpg

Sent through my captionmaker:
http://www.scriptstudios.com/captionmaker/default.aspx

Gets you your own captioned image to post here or elsewhere:

You did not copy the image's location.

Click on "Here is the link to your image
xxxxxxxxxxxx"

Then copy the address and then insert it here as an image.

I copied the image's location, but I got nothing on my screen that says 'here is the link to your image'. Just 'Enter the URL of the picture you want to caption'. 'Top caption' and bottom caption'.

you get the picture from a url.
once you 'get the picture' you can add a caption to the top or bottom.

Once you do that, you click on the 'make caption' button.

Then a link is generated for your new captioned picture.
Click on it and that is the url to your image. :)

I think I'll make some tweaks for the large sentences. Maybe put a linebreak in there instead of making the text infinitely smaller.

Where does the new url show up?
AND - could you (once again) explain how to upload a picture. :)

The 1st step is putting a url to a picture into the first text box (a url you can get from google)

Once you click on 'get picture' you can put text in the two text boxes that show up. They are for a caption at the top of the picture and at the bottom of the picture.

Once you put in your text, click on the 'make caption' button.

After you do that, your picture with your caption will appear. There is a link just above your new picture. Click on that link and it will open the picture into a new window for you.

Then you can come here and use the [ img ] and [ / img ] tags (minus the spaces) to post your picture.

I will work on making it more intuitive tomorrow. :)
