Barack Obama -- unless there's a major terrorist threat or attack between now and November...

Our objective at this point is to make Ron Paul and his message a key component of the national convention and change the face of the party going forward. McCain will go down in flames, but Ron Paul Republicans will do well in congressional campaigns if we stay the course and don't give up the fight. The real challenge will be delineating between the "real" Ron Paul Republicans / liberty candidates and those just riding on the coattails of the freedom message.

At least Bush would be better than McCain.

Bush doesn't need to say in power - he's accomplished his purpose. Now the pendulum can swing the other way... it will swing back in time. If you don't get this, thats why you think Bush might try to stay in power, and you fall into the same thinking that makes a lot of people go ahead and "vote democrat" because "Bush is bad."
Bush eroded freedom and grew government through fascistic means, and Obama will erode freedom and grow government through socialistic means (including tossing more and more power to the U.N.). What people need to understand is that ultimately, while they may disagree on some of the finer points about how to get there, Bush and Obama want the same thing....

I remain hopeful that it will be Ron Paul, not that I can see the future, but that I cannot conceive of any others being elected.

What is the purpose of this thread? At this early stage of the game, so you are curious who the Ron Paul supporters think will win the general election?

Hillary Clinton is more likely than Barrack Obama. But I voted for Ron Paul

ditto! Hate to say it but I would almost rather see Bush stay in power rather than Hilary-Obamo-McPain. At least Bush is a lame duck president.

lol... I wonder at the age/education level of people around here... Just the other day someone was trying to talk about how sinical he supposedly was... lol

I didn't bother to correct him. It is beneath me.

Yes, people will just *love* the idea of a 77 year old president... ;)

Remember guys - its the *message* not the man... There's plenty of hope out there, and if his message catches on - who knows? Maybe even some of our current politicians who aren't in line with it might start to fall in because they actually *sincerely* care... Who knows, right?

This isn't "who do you want to be president", but rather "who do you think will be president". Should be no surprise Obama is winning.
