I came across a fairly short article written by Ron a few years ago during the 2004 election. The piece praises the Texas GOP and highlights how he is much closer to its philosophy than the Establishment Republicans about to hold their national convention.

This would serve as a great springboard for discussing those areas where RP has winning positions. Overall, of the 3 left in the presidential race, he is so clearly, objectively, much preferred on the fundamental issues. RP should win the Texas ideas race in a slam dunk over McVain and Huckster in terms of illegal immigration/strong borders/US sovereignty/States' rights issues (the article doesn't even go into all of these).
Wouldn't hurt to use some of this in the Congressional campaign either, as a sidenote.
