Just went to see Johnny Mac speak near the airport in South Burlington. Good to see some Ron Paul supporters there. I wanted to stop and chat but had to get back to work. I liked McCain's speach and it warmed me up to him a bit but I'm still backing Paul into the primary.

Anyways...I've been a long time lurker here and a supporter of Ron Paul with my friends and such but what is the plan for VT?

There's a phone banking operation going on right now.

My husband & I are heading up there possibly this upcoming weekend or definitely next weekend. We have lots of slim jims left over and plan to do some door-to-door canvassing.
Stephanie Betit is organizing an event for this Sat. in the Brattleboro area. She can be contacted at this e-mail address: stephaniebetit@yahoo.com
She's definitely looking for some help!

Here's a video from the Burlington Free Press (http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080214/VIDEO/80214027). Apparently John McCain is a conservative now.

I am involved in the VT state, St, J and Randolph meetup groups. Currently we are working on placing ads in newspapers and also advertising on conservative local radio. The VT state meetup group based in Burlington/Colchester recently met to strategize and become delegates. They are working on sign waves in the burlington area. We are all involved in phoning and canvassing on some level. We can always use help with the phonebanking effort. VT has very few precinct leaders as far as I know, so feel free to adopt a precinct. The primary here is open, but voters must be registered by the 27th of February, so making sure people who say they will vote for RP are registered and can get to the polls on March 4 is very important. The St. J group is also working on banner drops on interstate overpasses.

We don't have many connections in Southern Vermont. I am looking to have a physical meeting of the minds in Barre to unite the St. J, Stowe, Randolph, Burlington, Rutland and Lebanon/Hanover groups, as well as Ron Paul supporters in southern VT and NY state. I have a tentative date set for Saturday Feb 23 at 3pm, exact location to be determined once I know how many folks can attend.

There will be a big rally/Ron Paul info/grassroots appreciation night at Nectar's in Burlington on February 27 beginning at 6pm with live music, video of Dr. Paul, discussion, food and drink. Please spread the word far and wide.

We know we can win this state for him. Our biggest aspiration is to actually get Ron Paul here. We have a radio host who would love to feature him on a show and he has been trying to get through to the media director at HQ for months. We have potential venues in mind for him to give a speech. We are all united in thinking that if Ron Paul came here we could win. If anyone reading this has any ideas about how we can break through the stone wall HQ has built up, we here in the grassroots would appreciate some guidance. We have been ignored by the campaign and I think that's a terrible mistake. We are a winner take all state and we know know we can do it.

It's really quite unbelievable how HQ's and Ron himself has basically given up on both VT and WI!! These are two states he could win because they are both open primaries. Then they wonder why they are seeing fewer and fewer donations coming in! What exactly are they doing?! Has anyone seen or heard any ads from the campaign anywhere?
