Mr. Fout appears to really respect Congressman Paul's message and gives him a fair chance in his articles.

He also has a blog here with a few Ron Paul entries you can comment on if you're a free subscriber:

We really could use a few friendly voices in the Wall Street arena as there are lots of conservatives sitting on dry powder waiting to see who emerges later this year as the front-runner.

Nice.

We're going to see more of this as we build momentum.

Of course, we're also going to see more underhanded attacks...

Very true, because for every John Fout who is making a fair assessment, there is a guy like this who is distorting (blatantly in my opinion) the facts.

Well, he's kind of got a point. We need to mobilize local support for the various state primaries.

9% counts for something. If those 9% multiply quickly Ron Paul will do quite well in Iowa.

I think that the Straw Poll is reflective of the whole race for the nomination.

Ron Paul's 9% is a helluva lot more solid than any of the other Repubs. The other candidates will be siphoning off each other's votes. Mitt's 32% is going to be deflated fairly quick once the competition really starts, but Paul support is less likely to diminish just based on the type of supporters and reasons they support his candidacy.

Additionally, Paul's war chest is intact and the donations are steady.

Ron Paul can husband his strength slow and steady. He may never break records in the polls, but his support will be solid and the others will be canceling each other out to a large degree.

A crowded field actually helps us.
